The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with over 3,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.
Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.
The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Account Manager, you own a portfolio of automotive clients (agencies and/or direct brands) with an emphasis on a large domestic manufacturer, driving revenue growth by combining strategic client leadership with hands‑on account ownership. You report to the Client Service Director and work closely with the Account Management, Sales and Trading teams.
- Own and grow a portfolio of agency and/or advertiser relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to clients
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Trading to develop existing accounts and achieve client goals and objectives
- Develop and execute account strategies that support revenue growth and account health, in coordination with your Director
- Own the training plan for onboarding new clients, covering programmatic education, platform updates, and new channels and markets within the industry
- Organize and lead QBRs in collaboration with Sales and Trading teams
- Think strategically and several steps ahead, leading — not just managing — tasks to move client partnerships forward
- Represent client needs by providing feedback to Product Management and Partnerships to identify and define features, integrations and product improvements to The Trade Desk platform
- Contribute to building the Client Services practice by creating training materials, best practices, sales materials and customer-facing guides
- Participate in internal stretch projects, advocating for client and business needs
Who you are:
You are comfortable leading the strategy and day-to-day operations behind growing a portfolio of client accounts. You get excited to solve complex client challenges through creative solutions, product capabilities and data-driven marketing strategy. You are able to build long-lasting and credible relationships with key partners and understand how our product solution can solve their business objectives.
- Strong digital advertising and client-facing experience (7+ years)
- Solid programmatic background, ideally with experience at another DSP, SSP, online publisher, agency, MarTech provider or other online advertising role
- Consistent track record of growing accounts by developing a strong relationship with clients, understanding their business objectives and recommending the best strategies for implementing solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills – you can manage difficult conversations with clients and deliver outstanding customer service
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to work with data sets to build presentations and generate actionable insights
- Ability to thrive in a small, intense, and high growth environment, and to work with teams located across other offices.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Availability to travel, if needed, to client and other TTD offices
