BUSINESS UNIT
You'll join HRS's Product & IT organization, in the team that builds the AI agent layer for our global sales organization. Our goal: give Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Learning & Development, and leadership teams trusted AI agents that work directly inside the tools they use every day, such as our CRM, Microsoft 365, and our data platforms. The foundation is already in place. A central AI gateway on AWS gives every agent secure, audited access to approved AI models, and a dedicated platform engineer builds and maintains the secure connections into our core business systems. That lets you concentrate on building agents that solve real business problems for our teams worldwide. We are deliberately not a single-vendor shop: we build on Microsoft Copilot Studio, n8n, Dify, and other cloud-native agentic workflow engines, with the platform for each use case selected based on the agent capabilities it requires.
POSITION
As Senior Agentic Workflow Engineer (all genders), you are the lead architect and builder of HRS's growing portfolio of AI agents and agentic workflows. You define the multi-agent architecture and the development standards the team follows across platforms, and personally drive the delivery of production-grade agents that account executives, sales operations managers, and customer success teams use every day — in Microsoft Teams and beyond.
Our central AI gateway connects agents to approved AI models, and our platform engineer (a separate role) owns the detailed technical integrations into Dynamics 365, Dataverse, SharePoint, OneDrive, and our other data systems. That leaves your focus on what makes agents valuable: design, orchestration, quality, and scale. You will mentor the mid-level engineer, set the technical bar, and make sure every agent ships as a reliable, well-governed product, whichever platform it runs on.
CHALLENGE
- Architecture and delivery standards: Define the platform-agnostic multi-agent topology, conversation and workflow design principles, naming conventions, guardrail patterns, and release standards the team follows across all engines.
- Multi-agent framework: Design the orchestrator and sub-agent structure, handoff protocols, context passing, and fallback behaviors, including cross-platform communication via open standards like MCP and A2A.
- New use cases: Lead design and delivery of agents for pipeline queries, opportunity stage updates, forecasts, opportunity creation, approval workflows, and AI-generated content across a growing sales and customer-facing backlog.
- Enterprise data access: Partner with the platform engineer to define tool, API, and connector contracts for Dynamics 365, Dataverse, SharePoint, OneDrive, SAP, Clay, AWS data products, and internal APIs. Enforce governed interfaces only: no direct database access, no free-form SQL, no plaintext credentials.
- Guardrail framework: Define and implement RBAC, DLP controls, prompt-injection defenses, output validation, and audit logging standards for every agent on every platform.
- Release management: Own versioning, regression testing, and staged rollout to production, including human approval gates for write-back actions, and sign off on every production promotion.
- Mentoring: Guide the mid-level engineer through architecture advice, reviews, and structured onboarding, building a team that delivers independently.
- Stakeholder translation: Work with sales and sales operations to scope use cases, define acceptance criteria, and manage delivery expectations.
FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH
- Experience: Typically 7+ years in software, automation, or integration engineering, with a track record of shipping AI agents or agentic workflows that real users rely on in production.
- Agent platforms: Proven experience deploying production agents, including multi-agent orchestrator/sub-agent architectures, on at least one agentic engine (e.g. Copilot Studio, n8n, Dify, Azure AI Foundry, Amazon Bedrock Agents, LangGraph). Production experience on multiple platforms is a strong plus.
- M-shaped profile: Deep agentic engineering expertise plus broad knowledge of enterprise systems such as CRM (e.g. Dynamics 365), ERP (e.g. SAP), Microsoft 365, and cloud data platforms.
- Agentic AI patterns: Deep understanding of orchestrator/sub-agent design, prompt engineering, RAG, tool/function calling, MCP, agent memory, and evaluation.
- Platform judgment: Clear view of each platform's strengths and limits, designing every agent to make the most of where it runs.
- API fluency: Confident with REST, JSON, webhooks, and OAuth 2.0 / service principals; consumes APIs, connectors, and MCP servers and specifies precisely what agents need from the platform team.
- Governance: Solid knowledge of identity and RBAC (e.g. Entra ID), DLP, secrets management, environment and solution lifecycle, and CI/CD for agents.
- Compliance: Understanding of GDPR and EU data residency for agent data handling.
- Mentoring: Proven ability to coach engineers and uphold quality standards across a team.
- Design and documentation: Strong skills in architecture decision records, conversation and workflow specs, and runbooks.
- Certifications (a plus): Microsoft PL-400 or AI-102, AWS, or platform-specific equivalents.
- Communication: Fluent English, verbal and written, able to lead discussions with technical and business stakeholders.
