Job Summary
The Brand Specialist is a self-starter that keeps projects on track and on time within LifeStraw’s marketing department. This is a generalist, execution-focused role: you own the intake system, the project tracker, and contribute to building out new campaign assets and sales enablement materials. In addition to being a core contributor on the marketing team, you also serve as the primary point-of-contact to sales. You are the glue; you help the two teams stay aligned and ensure sales requests are actioned appropriately in the marketing project pipeline.
You'll report to the Senior Brand Manager and work daily with Creative, Content & Social, and the Sales team across Outdoor, Retail, Amazon, International, and Institutional channels.
What You Own
- Marketing Execution
- Develop and repurpose high-quality campaign content, including blog posts, website content, email campaigns, and social media
- Assist in running surveys to collect consumer feedback and producing an analysis of findings
- Support a regular cadence of marketing reporting to share performance data internally with key stakeholders
- Produce light graphic design in Canva, including social media graphics, email banners, event promotions, infographics, and branded collateral
- Project Management & Request Intake (Asana)
- Own the Asana workspace: project templates, task structure, custom fields, due dates, dashboards, and user onboarding.
- Own the shared marketing request tracker and the master marketing and sales calendar in Asana: launches, campaigns, promos, retail resets, and trade shows.
- Own the marketing request intake form and triage queue. Route every incoming request from Sales, Ecommerce, and internal stakeholders to the right owner with a due date attached and confirm receipt to the requester.
- Check every creative brief for completeness before it reaches Creative. Chase the missing information down yourself rather than passing an incomplete brief along.
- Serve as the intake gatekeeper for ad-hoc or under-briefed requests, ensuring they follow the intake process before reaching Creative.
- Maintain and enforce SOPs for creative briefs, timelines, approval workflows, and file handoff.
- Run the weekly cross-functional sync with Sales and Marketing: agenda, notes, action items, follow-up.
- Digital Asset Management (Bynder)
- Own our Bynder DAM end to end uploads, naming conventions, metadata tagging, collections, and user permissions.
- Serve as the first responder on all asset requests from Sales, Ecommerce, retail partners, PR, and creators.
- Process new creative into the DAM once approved, correctly tagged by product, channel, and campaign, so the right file is easy to find.
- Track asset usage rights and expirations (talent, photography, licensed imagery) and flag anything approaching expiry to the Sr. Brand Manager.
- Build and share curated collections and links for retail partners, distributors, and press, and retire outdated assets so the wrong pack shot never ships.
- Sales Enablement Library
- Own the sell sheet, sales catalogue, one-pager, and trade show materials library, keeping it current and organized by channel.
- Coordinate with the Sr. Brand Manager to ensure launch kits include all sales-facing deliverables on schedule.
- Track which materials each Sales channel is using and flag gaps.
What You Execute (Supporting the Marketing Team & Sr. Brand Manager)
Day-to-day support work where you execute against direction set by the Sr. Brand Manager and channel leads.
- Social publishing support: Assist with scheduling organic social posts to the content calendar, load captions and assets, and compile weekly engagement reporting.
- Retailer & Amazon content upkeep: Load and refresh copy, imagery, A+ content, and video on Amazon and retailer portals, and flag outdated or missing content for fix.
- Reporting & dashboard upkeep: Maintain the weekly and monthly marketing performance recap in the established template: pull numbers from Amazon, retail POS, GA, email, and social into the format leadership already uses. You compile and maintain accurately and on time; the Sr. Brand Manager and VP set direction and interpret strategic implications.
- Event & trade show logistics: Manage the operational detail on trade shows and events: booth collateral, printed materials, sample and product shipments, giveaway inventory, shipping deadlines, packing lists, and post-show reconciliation.
- Sample & seeding coordination: Coordinate product samples and seeding shipments for press, creators, and Sales, and keep the tracking log current.
What We're Looking For
- A doer. You roll up your sleeves and jump in to help get marketing projects across the line.
- Organized and process-oriented. You keep a tracker updated without being asked twice.
- Reliable follow-through. You chase missing information until you get it, and you tell people when a date is going to slip before it slips.
- Detail oriented on the things that carry the brand: file names, image resolution, pricing accuracy, claim language, and version control.
- Comfortable being the connective tissue between Sales, Creative, and Marketing without needing to set anyone's strategy.
- Interest in consumer brands, sustainability, or outdoor/humanitarian markets a plus.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing coordination, brand operations, or project management at a consumer brand.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with a project management tool (Asana preferred; Monday.com, Wrike, Trello, or Smartsheet considered), including building projects and templates, not just completing assigned tasks.
- Hands-on experience with a digital asset management platform (Bynder preferred; Brandfolder, Widen, Canto, or similar considered).
- Working proficiency in Canva, including building from and managing brand templates.
- Proficient in SharePoint, Google Suite, Microsoft Office/Outlook, and Zoom. Comfortable in Excel or Sheets.
- Exposure to marketing dashboards or business insights tools a plus, not required.
