With offices in New York City, Connecticut, and Florida, the firm is comprised of 130+ experienced professionals who value entrepreneurship, intellectual rigor, hard work and continuous improvement. The Position Prospect Capital is seeking an Analyst to join its Direct Lending and Buyout team on-site in New York in a high-visibility role at the center of the investment process. You will own the performance and portfolio analytics that inform how the team evaluates new credits and monitors existing ones, working directly with senior investment professionals and with the data and systems that support portfolio decisions by the CEO and President. This person will: - Lead system configuration, internal and external data integrations, report and dashboard development, and workflow improvements. - Automate, run, and maintain standard and ad hoc reporting for the Senior Leadership team. - Interface with deal teams and portfolio company C-Suite to capture deal activity data and strengthen origination coverage. - Build and manage internal data processes and information flows, including analytics on past investments across Prospect’s strategies. - Support senior investment professionals with presentations and teasers. - Understand the business objective behind each request and take the initiative to find and analyze the underlying data with limited direction. - Present clearly, in writing and verbally, to Senior Leaders and C-Suite professionals. - Build deep familiarity with Prospect’s investment strategies, portfolio, process, and accounting systems.   Desired Skills and Experience - 1–3 years in project coordination, business operations, sales operations, research coordination, or consulting, with a track record of managing multiple trackers and deadlines and gathering and validating information from busy stakeholders. Recent graduates with outstanding organizational and analytical skills will be considered. - Undergraduate degree in business administration, operations management, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field. - Working proficiency in Excel, including clear, well-formatted reporting templates, tables, and charts. - Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; takes pride in accurate, high-quality work. - Clear, proactive communication — able to coordinate inputs, follow up on outstanding requests, and prepare reports for Senior Leaders and C-Suite professionals. - Resourcefulness and sound judgment in gathering information, checking it for completeness, and improving reporting processes. - Understanding of financial statements, loans, and private equity structures preferred, along with genuine interest in private credit and private equity. - Works well under pressure with minimal supervision, managing competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment. - Demonstrated track record of excellence in academic, professional, and personal endeavors.   The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 plus annual discretionary performance-based bonus. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and performance.    In addition to the base salary, the hired professional is eligible for comprehensive benefits, including 100% employer-paid premiums for medical, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, and AD&D. You'll also have access to pretax benefit accounts, including FSA, HSA, and Commuter accounts. Our perks go beyond the basics with a mentorship program, daily in-office paid breakfast and lunch, company-sponsored ski and sailing trips, and regular happy hours. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
