Senior PHP Developer

We're looking for a senior PHP engineer for the Trader Funding team. You'll analyse requirements and build features end-to-end, with room to grow into technical leadership. Coding agents have changed how much code we write, so the bottleneck is now review and verification, not typing. Some foundations are in place: strict PHPStan with custom rules, SQL checked against the database schema, and API breaking-change checks in CI. What's ahead is making AI part of how the system is built, not a tool bolted on top: agent guardrails, verification that keeps up with the volume, and monitoring that catches what reviews miss. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Take features from analysis to production: clarify requirements with stakeholders, design the domain and API, build, ship, and monitor - Work with coding agents every day, and expect to spend more time specifying, reviewing, and verifying than typing - Help build the architecture, quality gates, and agent guardrails this way of working needs - Take your turn in the team's weekly support rotation (business hours only): handle operational requests, bugs, and alerts, and make the next week lighter with better observability, runbooks, and automation WHAT YOU BRING - Many years of production experience with PHP and Symfony or similar - A track record of designing, shipping and running features in production, including what happens after release - Hands-on use of coding agents on production code, with concrete examples of where they helped and where they failed - Experience building quality tooling: static analysis rules, testing strategy, CI pipelines, observability OUR STACK PHP 8.5, Symfony, FrankenPHP · MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka · PHPStan (strict + custom rules), PHPUnit · GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes on GCP, Terragrunt · OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Sentry WHY JOIN THE FTMO TEAM? - We are a Czech fintech that, since 2015, has grown from an idea into a global project. 🚀 - 300+ amazing teammates.
