Summary We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations in our high-mix, precision contract manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, on-time delivery, and operational excellence while developing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Schedule Monday through Friday Day Shift What You'll Do Lead Manufacturing Operations - Oversee daily production activities to ensure customer commitments are met. - Drive on-time delivery, quality, and productivity across manufacturing operations. - Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks while maximizing resource utilization. - Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. Develop and Inspire Teams - Lead and mentor production supervisors, leads, machinists, and operators. - Build a culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives. - Foster employee engagement and retention through strong leadership and communication. Drive Operational Excellence - Translate customer demand into executable production plans. - Monitor key manufacturing metrics including throughput, machine utilization, labor efficiency, and schedule attainment. - Reduce downtime, setup times, scrap, and other non-value-added activities. - Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate Across the Organization - Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to support customer requirements. - Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring production issues. - Support customer audits, site visits, and new product introductions. - Provide operational updates and performance reports to senior leadership. What You Bring Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience. - Experience in contract manufacturing, precision machining, aerospace, medical device, or similar industries. - Proven success managing high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environments. Preferred Skills - Strong knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes. - Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning. - Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, OEE, and continuous improvement methodologies. - Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
