Job Description
The Data Migration Specialist for Colombia is responsible for migrating the information of healthcare professionals and clinics that join as new clients in Colombia—medical records, patient data, and appointment schedules—from the format in which it is received (other software, Excel, CSV, or the client’s own databases), ensuring that the information is complete, standardized, and ready for use from day one. This is a key role in ensuring that every new clinic begins operating seamlessly from the very start, with a fast, organized, and reliable onboarding process.
Responsibilities
- Data Preparation and Transformation: Analyze, map, clean, and standardize incoming data (formats, rules) to meet the platform’s requirements.
- Migration Execution and Monitoring: Perform and monitor the comprehensive loading of clinical data, applying post-loading quality controls to ensure the data is accurate and complete.
- Security and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive data in accordance with Colombian health data protection regulations.
- Support and Incident Resolution: Provide direct technical assistance to clinics and internal teams regarding any issues that arise during the import process.
- Continuous Improvement and Optimization: Identify recurring issues and propose technical solutions (including script development) to increase operational efficiency and improve the customer experience.
- Collaboration and Tool Validation: Work with local and global teams to document processes, report system limitations, and test new import solutions.
Requirements
- Higher education in technology, data, or related fields
- At least 2 years of experience in data migration, technical support, implementation, or related roles (data-centric).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL.
- Knowledge of programming logic for automation, preferably in Python or R.
- Advanced English (B2/C1) (mandatory requirement)
- Living in Bogotá, Colombia
