About the role

Bitarchitects, LLC is a boutique design studio at the heart of Washington DC. A studio led by a millennial with a vision influenced by contemporary times, working closely with a group of gen zs, while guided by experienced senior baby boomers. Bitarchitects is opening its Summer Internship 2024, offering a unique opportunity for talented architectural students to intern with our dynamic International team. Responsibilities: - Managing design projects from concept development to completion - Conducting research and compiling reports on feasibility and environmental impact - Complying with safety standards and international planning regulations - Determining and adhering to budgets and timelines - Creating engaging social media content to attract customers - Adjusting designs and plans to meet client needs - Preparing drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents - Collaborating with diverse construction professionals - Attending all Bitarchitects meetings  Required major: BA in Architecture Location: Virtual Working hours: - Monday to Thursday at least 5 hours working/day - Zoom meetings with management in Washington DC from Monday to Thursday at 3:00 PM EST, 10:00 PM Beirut timeMajor Notes: - The daily meeting attendance is mandatory (the intern that cannot join the meeting must send an official email mentioning the reason he/she cannot attend) - The work of the day can be done at the intern's convenient time (as long as the work is done) - Under any circumstances, early departure from the internship program will result in no certificate of completion or recommendation letter  Benefits of the internship: - Exposure to real-life architecture experience - Genuine teamwork coordination - Understanding of US building codes and regulations - Development of wood construction drafting skills - Enhancement of self-confidence and self-motivation - Adoption of a personal empowerment attitude - Successful performers will be eligible to internship level 2, which is paid - Priority will be given to those who have successfully completed the internship for a future job position at the company  Payment Methods: Unpaid Duration: 3 months approx. (Monday, June 3rd, 2024, until Friday, August 30th, 2024) Registration deadline: May 24th, 2024 Note: This internship program is exclusively designed for architectural students possessing a Bachelor of Architecture (BA) degree. We appreciate the interest of all applicants; however, only candidates meeting this criterion will be considered for the internship position.
