About the role
Business DevelopmentFrench
As part of Virya Energy, you'll join Grid Solutions, which represent the cornerstone of our group's renewable energy expertise. Built on decades of experience through formerly Eoly (Belgium) and Eurowatt (France), our wind energy teams now operate as one, combining deep local knowledge with international capabilities. While our roots are in wind energy development, we're actively expanding our solar portfolio across both markets. With over 680 MW of current renewable capacity and ambitious growth plans to reach 1GW by 2030, we offer the dynamic environment of specialized renewable development teams backed by Virya Energy's broader expertise and resources. Our close collaboration between Belgian and French operations ensures we leverage best practices while maintaining strong local presence in each market.
As a Wind Project Developer, you will be at the forefront of the energy transition. Your mission is to identify new opportunities, build strong stakeholder relationships and drive onshore wind projects from concept to realization. By transforming ambitious ideas into operational renewable energy projects, you will help shape a more sustainable future and support Virya Energy's continued growth in wind energy.

- Initiate and coordinate all project phases, from concept and development through to project completion.

- Act as the company's technical representative towards grid operators, suppliers, local authorities, policymakers and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate project activities and facilitate collaboration with internal teams, including engineering, land acquisition, business development, O&M, procurement, legal, finance and energy markets.
- Prepare and manage permitting applications and approval processes.
- Prepare investment proposals and present recommendations to the Management Committee.
- Support and participate in contract negotiations with turbine suppliers, contractors and other key partners.
- Contribute to building local support for wind projects through stakeholder engagement, technical input and transparent communication.
- Continuously expand sector knowledge and expertise, developing into a recognized specialist in renewable energy project development.
