CNC Lathe Set-Up (Swing)

Summary This position requires candidate to produce machined parts per print by setting up and operating a CNC Lathe machine, maintaining quality, safety standards and record keeping. This position requires strong CNC experience involving setting up and operating lathes. Must be able to work in a fast-paced & challenging environment. Shift: - Swing: 2:30pm - 11:05pm Required Skills - Minimum 5-7 years of Lathe setup experience. - Work with minimal supervision to resolve issues. - Must be able to setup from program notes & shop traveler. - Must be able to read & interpret prints, including GD&T. - Firm understanding of CNC programming, including G/M codes & editing. - Inspect own parts with attention to detail. - Proficient with inspection tools & methods. - Communicate effectively within the team, different shifts, & management. Responsibilities - Must produce operator friendly, quality set-up’s which meet print requirements. - Work efficiently & diligently to complete set-up’s within allotted time. - Review and recommend any changes to production tooling. - Assist others in resolving issues / problems when needed. - Report any manufacturing equipment deficiencies/problems to the Manager - Support and assist machine operators in maintenance and repair tasks. - Responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient and clean work environment. Education / Experience - High School diploma or GED required.
