In this role, you will design, develop, secure, and maintain the DevSecOps pipelines and automation infrastructure supporting mission-critical geospatial intelligence applications. You will play a key role in modernizing software development practices, strengthening cybersecurity integration, and ensuring the reliable delivery of secure applications across the enterprise. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in software engineering, advanced Python development, CI/CD pipeline architecture, automated security testing, and containerized application delivery. You will collaborate with software engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and government stakeholders to improve development efficiency, security, and operational readiness. Key Responsibilities - Design, build, secure, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines supporting enterprise software development and modernization. - Develop advanced Python applications, scripts, and automation solutions to streamline software development, testing, security, and deployment processes. - Integrate automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance validation into CI/CD workflows. - Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain software applications and supporting tools. - Build, package, and deploy containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and related technologies. - Implement secure development practices and automated controls to identify and remediate vulnerabilities throughout the software development lifecycle. - Develop custom applications, dashboards, and data visualization tools to monitor enterprise performance, operational metrics, and security compliance. - Support infrastructure automation, configuration management, and repeatable software deployments. - Analyze technical requirements, contribute to system architecture and design, and develop solutions that meet operational and security objectives. - Troubleshoot pipeline failures, software integration issues, deployment challenges, and security testing deficiencies. - Collaborate with developers, engineers, analysts, cybersecurity teams, and government customers to communicate technical progress and resolve development challenges. - Maintain technical documentation, development standards, pipeline configurations, and deployment procedures. - Support evolving Department of Defense (DoD) DevSecOps policies, security standards, and government software development requirements. - Contribute to the modernization, reliability, and security of enterprise GEOINT software capabilities. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience. - 7+ years of professional software engineering experience. - Demonstrated expertise designing, developing, securing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. - Advanced Python programming skills, including application development, scripting, and process automation. - Experience integrating automated security testing tools into software development and deployment pipelines. - Experience using data analysis and visualization libraries to develop custom applications, tools, or dashboards. - Strong understanding of secure software development practices, automated testing, version control, and software deployment processes. - Experience analyzing software requirements and developing, testing, modifying, and maintaining software solutions. - Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to meet DoDM 8140.03 baseline certification requirements for the assigned cybersecurity work role at the start of employment. - Ability to obtain the required computing environment certification before receiving privileged system access. Preferred Qualifications - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification. - Additional programming language, software engineering, or cloud platform certifications. - Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container packaging, and orchestration. - Experience implementing Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), container vulnerability scanning, and software supply chain security tools. - Experience developing and maintaining automated security compliance dashboards and business intelligence solutions. - Familiarity with DoD DevSecOps policies, reference designs, and secure software delivery frameworks. - Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases. - Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management using Ansible, Puppet, Salt, or similar technologies. - Experience supporting hybrid cloud or government cloud environments, including AWS GovCloud or Commercial Cloud Services (C2E). - Experience developing, deploying, or maintaining applications within Risk Management Framework (RMF)-accredited environments. - Experience supporting enterprise DevSecOps platforms, secure container delivery, and automated deployment solutions. - Proficiency in Java or other enterprise programming languages. - Previous experience supporting Department of Defense, U.S. Army, Intelligence Community, or classified government software development programs. Security Clearance Requirements - Active, final Top Secret security clearance required at the start of employment. - Must be eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). - Must satisfy all applicable security requirements for access to classified government systems and facilities. Why Join DSA? This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of secure software development and modernization while directly supporting U.S. Army and Intelligence Community missions. Unlike traditional software development roles, this position combines advanced Python programming, CI/CD pipeline engineering, cybersecurity automation, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. You will have the opportunity to solve complex engineering challenges, implement modern DevSecOps practices, and develop innovative automation solutions that improve software delivery, security, and operational efficiency. For an experienced software engineer or DevSecOps professional, this role offers technical ownership, challenging development opportunities, collaboration with skilled engineering and cybersecurity teams, and the ability to see how your work directly contributes to military intelligence operations and national security. Rather than simply maintaining existing applications, you will help shape how mission-critical intelligence software is developed, secured, and delivered. About Data Systems Analysts, Inc.
