Founding Forward Deployed Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with consumer goods customers to understand their wholesale operations and implement software that supports their workflows. You will own implementations from discovery through go-live and bring customer insights back to the engineering team to shape product improvements. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Lead customer onboarding end to end, including discovery, integration, configuration, testing, and go-live. - Work with customer operators to map purchase-order-to-cash workflows and design suitable implementations. - Build and troubleshoot integrations across EDI, ERP, inventory, accounting, and freight systems. - Translate operational requirements into data models, configurations, and product capabilities. - Share field insights with engineering and help turn them into product improvements. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - At least 3 years of experience in forward deployed, solutions, implementation engineering, technical onboarding, or a similar customer-facing technical role. - Experience owning customer onboarding, from discovery and integration through testing and launch. - Hands-on experience with APIs, data models, SQL, integration debugging, and the ability to read and write code. - Background integrating EDI, ERP, inventory, accounting, or freight systems, ideally in consumer goods, supply chain, or logistics. - Strong systems thinking, customer communication, and comfort taking ownership in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary range: $0 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION This is an on-site role based in New York, New York, United States.
