What’s the position?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Associate to join our team. This role involves screening clients to identify potential criminal activities and assessing the suitability of VIP hospitality. The EDD Associate will play a key role in mitigating risks associated with our players by collecting and analyzing relevant information, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting our comprehensive risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Review and Cross-Reference: Scrub player names through the Comply Advantage (CA) database to identify any adverse media. Save and document the Certificate of the scrub as proof of the process.
- Review: Assess any possible matches to determine false positives and ensure accuracy in reporting. Log player information and initial findings into an internal log for record-keeping and future reference.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks associated with players, including financial crimes, money laundering, and terrorist financing. Provide actionable recommendations for risk mitigation based on the findings.
- Reporting: Discuss any positive matches with management on a bi-weekly basis to assist in making informed decisions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with VIP Team to evaluate VIP initial suitability review and resolve issues identified during the due diligence process.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of EDD policies, procedures, and tools to enhance the efficiency of the due diligence process. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, industry trends, and best practices in risk management.
