If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.
With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.
As a Senior Analyst in Cost of Sales Operations, you will investigate scheme-fee outcomes and explain the financial story behind them. You will independently manage defined investigations and project tasks, validate data and assumptions, identify material drivers and process gaps, and communicate clear, evidence-based conclusions to Finance and cross-functional partners. You will also help improve the team’s controls, documentation and ways of working, while knowing when an issue requires escalation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own defined scheme-fee investigations from initial question through validated findings, ensuring the analysis is accurate, well-documented and delivered to agreed timelines.
- Validate the financial story behind fee movements: challenge data inputs, test assumptions and methodologies, investigate discrepancies, and explain the reasons for material changes rather than simply reporting outputs.
- Assess the impact and urgency of incoming work, communicate progress and risks proactively, and align with stakeholders when priorities or timelines need to change.
- Prepare concise, data-backed summaries that make the “why” clear for the audience, including relevant implications for Finance and partner teams.
- Participate actively in working groups, bringing analysis and recommendations, clarifying requirements, and following actions through to closure.
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies in existing processes; document practical improvements and contribute to solutions that support team KPIs, accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Volunteer for project work and manage your own workload effectively, coordinating dependencies and raising blockers early.
- Apply sound judgment to distinguish issues you can resolve within your remit from those that should be escalated; maintain an audit trail of key assumptions, checks and decisions.
- Contribute to clear, useful reporting and dashboards, ensuring metrics are defined consistently and outputs support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain working instructions and process documentation so that controls, handovers and repeatable tasks are clear to others.
- Build and apply knowledge of the payments landscape, card-scheme rules and regulatory developments to assess potential implications for scheme fees and the business.
- Share knowledge with colleagues, guide junior teammates on specific tasks, and champion team standards and a culture of accountability and collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of experience in a financial, analytical, or high-volume transaction environment. A strong interest in the payments industry and card scheme pricing is essential.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a natural curiosity to understand "the why" behind the data.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarise findings and explain the “why” to stakeholders.
- Good judgment, attention to detail and a disciplined approach to quality, documentation and auditability.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with remote colleagues.
- Proactive stakeholder management: responsive, reliable and able to prioritise work according to urgency while keeping partners informed.
- Attention to detail to ensure 100% accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to meet deadlines in an evolving environment.
- Willingness to take the initiative and continuously learn
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SQL
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.
- Fluency in English, and superb communication skills at all levels
- Knowledge of Interchange and Scheme Fees, Card Schemes and Payments Processing will be an advantage
