Staff Engineer, Mechanical & Module Design

We are seeking an experienced Staff Engineer, Mechanical & Module Design to provide technical leadership in the design and development of precision mechanical modules for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will drive concept development, engineering analysis, prototyping, verification, and product release while strengthening engineering capability through technical standards, design reviews, and coaching. Key Responsibilities - Lead the development of precision module architectures, translating system requirements into robust engineering solutions - Drive advanced mechanical and mechatronic design activities, including 3D modelling, specifications, tolerancing, error budgeting and engineering documentation - Conduct and guide engineering analyses such as electromagnetic, structural, thermal, vibration, dynamic and tolerance studies to optimize performance and reliability - Define and lead proof-of-concept, prototype, verification and reliability testing activities - Lead design reviews, technical risk assessments, change management and engineering governance activities - Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and suppliers to ensure products are manufacturable, testable and supportable throughout the lifecycle - Develop reusable engineering methods, simulation tools, standards and best practices to improve development effectiveness across projects - Provide technical leadership, coaching and design guidance to engineers and cross-functional teams
