Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM The Global Defense (GD) team is responsible for establishing and expanding Anduril's international business, developing and delivering the products and technology that address the unique security challenges faced by America's Allies and partners. The team operates across every major theater, pairing deep regional expertise with a sophisticated command of foreign military sales, trade, and compliance frameworks. GD team members serve as the bridge between international customers and the broader Anduril enterprise; they translate partner-nation requirements and perspectives back to Anduril's Business Lines, while serving as Anduril's ambassadors and partners abroad. They shape and capture new opportunities by leveraging Anduril's strengths in innovation, modern warfighting, agile foreign sales strategies, and rigorous export compliance. The team's work spans the full lifecycle of international engagement: global strategy and market analysis; international business development and deal navigation; partnerships and representation; trade, export control, and Tech Security & Foreign Disclosure (TSFD); and the global operations, security, and in-country presence required to execute. The Director, Mission Insights, Maritime sits within Global Defense Mission Operations and brings deep maritime operational expertise to Anduril's international pursuits. You will be the operator voice in the room with partner navies, with an initial focus on supporting Anduril's maritime pursuit in Japan, translating mission needs into credible concepts of operation and product requirements. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Define Allied Maritime CONEMPs: Develop authoritative reference missions, operational vignettes, tactics, techniques, and procedures, and concepts of employment tailored to partner-nation maritime forces (e.g., long range strike in the Indo-Pacific, Baltic grey-zone incursions, Strait of Hormuz chokepoint security). - Feed Realities into Engineering & Business Lines: Act as the direct conduit between allied maritime operators and Anduril’s engineering and product teams. Ensure real-world operational constraints (e.g., degraded RF/bandwidth environments, specific sea-state realities, sovereign sensor networks) are baked into product design and R&D pipelines. - Support Operational Analysis & Objective "Red Teaming": Provide threat-informed and rigorous analysis on concepts of employment to support Anduril’s operational analysis teams. Rigorously evaluate how Anduril hardware and software perform in allied scenarios versus existing competitor or legacy architectures. - Enable Global Growth & Capture: Arm regional Business Development leads with high-impact sales enablement tools, including localized wargaming outcomes, cost-exchange analyses, and mission architectures that clearly articulate mission viability to foreign defense leaders. - Bridge Interoperability Architectures: Define the mission frameworks necessary for allied sovereign maritime systems to seamlessly interoperate with US JADC2 networks, FVEY, and NATO tactical standards. - Seed Net-New Capabilities: Identify genuine capability gaps in allied naval forces to pitch, shape, and seed requirements for international co-development projects or net-new Anduril US production lines. - Translate Strategy to Execution: Act as a polished, credible operational lead in front of international military leaders, ministries of defense, and cross-functional internal stakeholders during capture shaping and proposal stages. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Former U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) with operational experience at sea. - Designation as a Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) via the Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) or equivalent high-end tactical instructor tour. - Deep expertise in maritime warfighting scenarios, multi-domain integration, surface warfare, integrated air and missile defense (IAMD), or mine countermeasures (MCM). - Demonstrated ability to translate complex tactical and technical problems into concise, compelling operational concepts for senior military and civilian executives. - Exceptional public speaking, briefing, and technical writing skills; comfortable engaging directly with foreign flag-level officers and government defense officials. - Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally. - Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Previous operational planning experience (N3/N5 or J3/J5) at USPACFLT, USINDOPACOM, or a Forward Deployed Naval Forces staff. - Familiarity with allied naval concepts of operations and interoperability dynamics across the Indo-Pacific. - Background in operations research, operational analysis, wargaming, or modeling and simulation tools. - Familiarity with autonomous maritime systems (USVs, UUVs), uncrewed distributed sensors, edge-compute networks, and command-and-control (C2) software. - Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or national security field; advanced degree preferred. - Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance US Salary Range $191,000—$253,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
