About the role

The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Since opening our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve always been about more than just offering a bed for the night. We create spaces where guests and locals come together, with great design, vibrant public spaces and a genuine connection to the neighbourhood. At The Hoxton, Lloyd, our people are at the heart of what we do. As a People & Culture Intern, you’ll work closely with our People & Culture Manager, supporting the day-to-day people operations and helping create a great experience for our team, from their first day to their last. We’re looking for someone to join us for 5–6 months, ideally starting in January 2027. Have a different start date in mind? We’re happy to discuss it. What you'll do… - Support recruitment from start to finish, including CV screening, initial candidate calls and interview planning. - Post vacancies on our careers page and relevant recruitment platforms to help us find the right people. - Help welcome new team members by coordinating onboarding, organising coffee chats and making sure they feel at home from day one. - Keep employee records and HR systems up to date, including setting up accounts and supporting administrative processes. - Track training completion and assist with organising training sessions and development activities. - Help bring our team together by organising team events, celebrations and engagement initiatives. - Support internal communication, keeping the team informed about important updates, activities and opportunities. - Assist with everyday P&C administration, from scanning and filing documents to ordering business cards and preparing paperwork. - Handle employee information with care and confidentiality. - Be a go-to person for the team, helping colleagues with questions and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes. What we're looking for… - Currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources or a related field. - Available for a 5–6 month internship, ideally starting in January 2027. - Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Dutch is a strong plus. - Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel, and quick to pick up new systems. - Well organised, proactive and able to keep a few plates spinning at once. - Interested in recruitment, employee experience and what makes a team thrive. - Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential employee information. - A natural people person who communicates easily, enjoys helping others and knows how to make people feel welcome. - Individuals. Be yourself – no clones in suits here. - A team player who leaves their ego at the door, rolls up their sleeves and gets things done. What's in it for you… - €750 gross per month, based on a full-time internship. - Food on us during your shift. - Enjoy a free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two when you first start with us. - Training and development opportunities to help you grow throughout your internship. - Time off to volunteer with one of our partner charities. - Hox Hero, our reward for going the extra mile and living our values. - A chance to get involved in our diversity and inclusion initiatives and help make The Hoxton a welcoming place for everyone. - Regular team get-togethers, celebrations and parties – we work hard, but we make time to have fun, too. - The opportunity to take ownership, share ideas and make a real contribution to the employee experience. - Join a creative, international and fast-growing hospitality group that isn't afraid to challenge the norm. - Excellent discounts across The Hoxton and the global Ennismore family.
