Internship: Front Office - The Hoxton, Lloyd

The Hoxton, Lloyd is set in a historic building in Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands, bringing together a unique mix of heritage, design and culture. With 136 bedrooms, vibrant public spaces and a strong connection to the neighbourhood, our hotel is a place where guests and locals come together. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and guest-focused Front Office Intern to join our team and support the day-to-day running of our Front Office. Reporting to our Front Office Manager, you’ll be one of the first faces our guests meet, helping create a warm welcome and a memorable experience from arrival to departure. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hotel operations, guest relations and the little details that make a stay at The Hoxton feel different. What you'll do... - You're the first face our guests see, and you have your own way of treating them as individuals, making them feel welcome and their stay special - the Hox way - Deal with the coming and going of guests, making sure all bills are correct and contain no surprises - Work with all our teams to make sure we're always busy, and help our Front Office Manager with any overbooking levels - Answer phones, sort out requests, give recommendations to the best show to see and the latest pop-up restaurant to try in the area - you're the one-stop-shop for our guests to turn to - You’re our gatekeeper for the hotel. You know who’s who and what’s what. - And yes, there’s a little admin... Some expenses, some lists and a stationary order or two. But let’s face it, we know you love that! What we're looking for... - It's all about attitude for us, someone who enjoys being helpful to others; that person who makes you feel confident they can answer any question and who you'd want to stop and chat to - Previous hotel (or similar) experience is great, but it's not a must-have for us - if you're eager to learn we can teach you what you need to know - Individuals.
