Manager, Technical Accounting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Technical Accounting based in Canada. The Manager, Technical Accounting will serve as a subject matter expert, guiding the interpretation and application of complex accounting standards in a dynamic, globally distributed business. This role is central to maintaining accurate financial reporting, developing robust accounting policies, and ensuring that complex transactions are supported by clear, defensible technical conclusions. You will lead research and documentation across areas such as revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, debt, leases, and capitalized software. Working closely with Finance, Legal, FP&A, and other business teams, you will help assess new contracts, implement accounting standards, and strengthen reporting processes. The position offers the opportunity to tackle challenging accounting questions, exercise independent judgment, and influence financial reporting quality.
