Director of Demand Generation Location: New York, NY: In-person (M-F) FurtherAI is hiring a Director of Demand Generation to build and run our enterprise pipeline engine. This is a hands-on individual contributor role reporting into the VP of Growth Marketing: you'll help set the demand strategy and then execute it, from launching paid social campaigns and running third-party programs to improving website conversion, building nurture programs, and launching ABM. We’re looking for a hands-on individual contributor who can own both strategy and execution, with the opportunity to build and lead a team as the function scales. This role is measured on pipeline, not MQLs. Success means more qualified demos, more opportunities, and more pipeline created, and you'll help own the funnel tracking that proves it. You'll work closely with Sales and Revenue Operations, and you'll bring both the urgency of a startup operator and the rigor of an enterprise marketer. Why FurtherAI? - Elite Team & Culture: Join a YC and a16z-backed startup, collaborating with industry experts who share your hunger and ambition. Be part of a culture built for high performers who are proud to put in the work. - Transformative Opportunity: Bring pioneering AI solutions to market in complex, regulated industries and help modernize a trillion-dollar sector. - Real Ownership: Shape how FurtherAI generates pipeline from the ground up, with real budget, full accountability, and a direct line to leadership. - Path to Leadership: Start as a hands-on IC and grow into leading a demand generation team as the company scales. - Highly Competitive Compensation: Strong base salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits. WHAT YOU'LL DO Set the Demand Strategy, Then Execute It - Build FurtherAI's demand generation strategy and quarterly plan, tied directly to the pipeline and revenue targets you set with Marketing and Sales leadership. - Run the programs yourself: you'll be in the ad platforms, the marketing automation tools, the CRM, and the creative briefs every week. - Own a pipeline number, not an MQL goal. Your success is measured by demos held, Sales-Accepted Opportunities, and pipeline created. Own Paid Social and Third-Party Programs - Plan, launch, and optimize paid social campaigns (LinkedIn and Paid Search first, expanding to other channels as they prove out), including audience targeting, budget, bidding, and creative testing. - Continuously test ad creative and formats (static, video, carousel, thought leadership, document ads) across mediums to learn what converts best to demos and opportunities, then scale the winners. - Build and run ABM programs targeting priority insurance accounts, coordinating campaigns, nurtures, direct mail, and SDR outreach to engage the full buying committee. - Run third-party programs such as content syndication, sponsored webinars, industry publications, review sites, and intent data partners. - Hold every channel and vendor accountable to pipeline and cost per opportunity, not lead volume, and shift budget toward what works. Turn Website Traffic Into Demos - Own website conversion end-to-end: landing pages, demo request flows, forms, CTAs, and offers. - Run A/B tests and conversion rate optimization to increase demo requests from target accounts. - Partner with the broader marketing and product team so every page speaks clearly to insurance buyers and the problems FurtherAI solves. Build Nurture Programs That Create Opportunities - Design and build email nurture programs by persona, funnel stage, and intent signal that move leads from first touch to booked demo. - Build re-engagement programs for stalled leads, event attendees, and closed-lost opportunities. - Coordinate with SDRs and Sales so nurtures and outbound work together instead of competing for the same buyer. Own Funnel Tracking and Conversion - Build and maintain full-funnel reporting, from first touch through MQL, demo, opportunity, and closed-won. - Define and refine lead scoring, routing, and handoff SLAs so qualified leads reach Sales quickly. - Find where buyers drop off, especially MQL-to-demo and demo-to-opportunity, and run the fixes that improve those conversion rates. - Implement attribution that Sales and leadership trust, and report pipeline performance to leadership weekly. WHO YOU ARE - 7–10+ years of experience in demand generation, revenue marketing, or pipeline-focused growth marketing in B2B SaaS or AI technology. - You've owned a pipeline target, not just an MQL goal, and can show the numbers: opportunities created, conversion rates improved, pipeline generated. - You're a builder and a doer. You've written the strategy and then run the campaigns yourself, with support of the broader marketing team. - You have hands-on experience running paid social (especially LinkedIn) and third-party programs, and you manage budget to cost per opportunity and cost per lead. - You've improved website conversion and built nurture programs that measurably increased demos and opportunities. - You're strong with funnel data: you can build the reports, find the leak, and fix it. You're fluent in Salesforce, HubSpot or Marketo, and attribution and intent tools such as 6sense or Demandbase. - You have enterprise B2B experience: large deal sizes, long sales cycles, and multi-stakeholder buying committees. - You've worked at a startup or high-growth company and know how to do a lot with limited resources. - You lead with data but aren't paralyzed without it. You make good bets on limited information and iterate fast. - You want to build and lead a team as the function grows. Nice to Have (Not Required): - Experience marketing to insurance or other regulated industries - Background in insurtech or fintech - Experience as an early or first demand generation hire at a venture-backed startup (YC, a16z, or similar) Apply now to help build a generational company alongside a world-class team, backed by top investors and founders. You can look forward to the following benefits: - Fully covered, best-in-class health, dental, and vision benefits - Competitive compensation, meaningful stock options, company 401(k) - Unlimited PTO - Outstanding in-office culture in the heart of New York City - Lunch and dinner onsite - Team events, such as happy hours and off-sites - Commuter benefits
