Senior Software Engineer - Commercial - #4978

GRAIL is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Commercial engineering team within our Technology organization. Our team builds and operates the patient- and provider-facing software behind the Galleri® test, including my.grail.com and provider.grail.com, along with the systems that collect and deliver the clinical data the test depends on. The software we write sits directly in the path between a patient ordering a test and a physician acting on the result, so correctness, reliability, and clarity matter as much as velocity. This is a backend-leaning full-stack role for an engineer who wants meaningful ownership. You will design and build cloud-native services in Go on AWS and Kubernetes, and you will follow your work through to the React interfaces that patients and clinicians actually use. You will own systems end to end — design, implementation, testing, rollout, and production operation — and you will help raise the bar for the engineers around you. If you want your work to have a direct line to earlier cancer detection, this is a rare place to do it. This role is based in Sunnyvale, California. It offers a flexible work arrangement, with the ability to work from GRAIL's office or from home. Our current flexible work arrangement policy requires that a minimum of 60%, or 24 hours, of your total work week be on-site. Your specific schedule, determined in collaboration with your manager, will align with team and business needs and could exceed the 60% requirement for the site. At our Sunnyvale campus, Tuesdays and Thursdays are the key days where we encourage on-site presence to engage in events and on-site activities.
