Summary
The Software Engineer builds and maintains Shopify-based solutions supporting Young Living’s global member and customer experience across more than 30 markets, processing over 6 million orders and $800 million in annual transaction volume. This role contributes to storefront functionality, custom applications, APIs, and backend integrations using Shopify, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#/.NET, and AWS.
Software Engineer II is the primary hiring target. Candidates demonstrating strong foundational skills and development potential may be considered at Software Engineer I, with responsibilities and expectations aligned to their experience and capabilities.
Software Engineer I works under close supervision to complete assigned development tasks, contribute to established solutions, and develop technical proficiency. Software Engineer II independently completes development work, leads smaller projects, participates in peer code reviews, mentors less-experienced engineers, and supports production systems.
Agentic coding tools are the primary development workflow. Engineers are expected to use these tools from the start of employment, with guidance appropriate to their level, and remain accountable for the quality, security, and accuracy of their submitted work.
Preference is given to candidates residing in Utah. Exceptional out-of-state candidates willing to relocate at their own expense may be considered. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not provided.
