ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Head of Brokerage in Saudi. This person will build and manage Thndr’s
brokerage capabilities in Saudi, and will be registered with the Capital Market Authority (CMA)
as a senior executive of Thndr KSA.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Brokerage
• Design and lead Thndr’s core brokerage function in KSA, from client onboarding to order
execution and settlement.
• Set up dealing and order-handling processes that meet CMA conduct-of-business and best-
execution requirements.
• Own day-to-day brokerage operations and resolve problematic developments and situations
quickly.
• Work with compliance on trade surveillance, market-conduct controls and client protection.
Market and regulators
• Manage Thndr’s relationship with the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) and support the relationship
with the CMA alongside compliance.
• Collect and act on insights about innovative brokerage solutions that can be introduced to the
Saudi market.
• Understand market practice and regulation and their impact on Thndr.
Strategy and product
• Work with Thndr’s leadership to shape and implement the brokerage strategy for KSA.
• Partner with the product team to improve brokerage services and the client experience.
• Own the brokerage budget and business plan.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Experience
• 8+ years in securities brokerage, including at least 5 years in KSA at a CMA-licensed
brokerage or Tadawul member firm.
• At least 3 years in a senior or team-leading role within the brokerage value chain.
• Working knowledge of the Saudi brokerage ecosystem, from order submission to clearing and
settlement.
CMA qualifications and registration
• Passed the CMA’s securities brokers qualification route: CME-3A and CME-3B, or an
exemption granted by the CMA. Holders of the CMA’s previous-series qualification certificates
for this function qualify without retaking the exams. Both must be passed before CMA
registration.
• Eligible for registration with the CMA as a Registered Person under the Capital Market
Institutions Regulations, including meeting the CMA’s fit-and-proper criteria (skills, experience,
competence and integrity).
• Resident in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (a requirement for CMA Registered Persons), or
willing to relocate.
Skills
• High agency, self-motivation and a strong sense of ownership.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with strong analytical and
problem-solving skills.
• Ability to excel under pressure with strong organisational skills.
• Proficient in budgeting and business planning.
• Uncompromising integrity and professionalism.
• Fluent in English; Arabic strongly preferred.
