About the role
EHR
Senior Product Manager
Location: New York City | In-office
THE MISSION
“Leading healthcare into the agentic era.”
Every day, patients call their clinic to schedule an appointment, ask a question, or request a prescription refill. Behind each conversation is a busy healthcare team coordinating people, information, and systems.
Taxo builds Voice AI agents that take on this administrative work. Our agents connect with EHR and practice management systems to help teams handle patient intake, complex scheduling, and refill requests, with reliable workflows and clear handoffs to people.
THE OPPORTUNITY: TURN CLINICAL EXPERTISE INTO PRODUCT
As our Senior Product Manager, you’ll bring deep clinical and EHR knowledge into the decisions that shape Taxo. You’ll understand how care teams actually work, identify where automation can help, and turn that insight into products engineers can build and customers can use. This role is for someone who can move comfortably between a clinical workflow, an EHR integration, and a product decision.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Get Close to the Workflow: Spend time with clinicians, practice teams, and healthcare operators to understand their workflows, bottlenecks, and exceptions.
- Own Product Decisions: Own product discovery, roadmap priorities, requirements, and acceptance criteria for AI-powered administrative workflows.
- Turn Complexity into Clarity: Translate complex clinical and operational processes into clear product requirements and release plans, with measurable acceptance criteria for engineering and quality teams to validate.
- Connect the EHR: Work closely with engineering on EHR integrations, data flows, workflow dependencies, and human handoffs.
- Measure Real Outcomes: Define success measures for adoption, task completion, reliability, and time saved, then use evidence to guide iteration.
- Learn from Deployment: Turn clinic rollout feedback into reusable product improvements. Partner with the implementation team, which owns customer-specific rollout plans, training, user acceptance testing coordination, and go-live readiness.
WHO YOU ARE
- The Healthcare Expert: Deep, firsthand knowledge of clinical workflows and day-to-day EHR use, demonstrated through healthcare software you have shipped with clinicians and practice teams.
- The Product Builder: Experience delivering healthcare software from discovery through adoption, with concrete examples of workflow exceptions you addressed, integration tradeoffs you made, and measurable adoption or operational outcomes.
- The Translator: The ability to map complex workflows, identify exceptions, and explain tradeoffs clearly to technical and nontechnical colleagues.
- The Systems Thinker: Practical understanding of EHR capabilities, integration constraints, data quality, and patient privacy, grounded in product decisions you have made.
- The Decision Maker: Strong prioritization and analytical skills, with a track record of using customer feedback and product data to make decisions.
- The Owner: Comfort working closely with engineers and taking ownership of the details needed to get a product into use.
- Bonus: A clinical, clinical informatics, or healthcare operations background; hands-on EHR implementation or integration experience; familiarity with HL7/FHIR, conversational AI, or workflow automation.
WHY TAXO
Healthcare teams should be able to spend more time on patients and less time on administration. Help us build the products and company that make that possible.
- 🏥 Clinical Knowledge That Counts: Use your healthcare experience to shape real product decisions and workflows.
- 🧠 AI with a Clear Purpose: Focus on where automation can reduce work while preserving reliability and human oversight.
- 🛠️ Ownership from Discovery to Adoption: Follow the product from the first user conversation through launch and improvement.
COMPENSATION
Base salary: $170,000–$210,000 USD annually
