About Us
For over 100 years, Girl Scouts has helped girls develop the skills and confidence they need to blossom into their best selves. From our earliest badges in electricity, aeronautics, and natural sciences to today's all-girl robotics teams and cookie entrepreneurs, girls have challenged themselves through skill-building opportunities, worked with inspiring role models, and developed lifelong friendships.
At Girl Scouts of Alaska, we are dedicated to building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Our mission is to empower girls through leadership experiences, skill-building opportunities, and community involvement.
We are currently seeking a dynamic, strategic, and relationship-focused Director of Development and Community Relations to lead GSAK's fundraising efforts and strengthen our relationships throughout the Alaska community.
This position is responsible for developing and executing GSAK's overall fundraising strategy, identifying new revenue opportunities, cultivating and stewarding donors and community partners, securing grants and corporate sponsorships, and planning and leading fundraising events. The Director personally manages the organization's development efforts and is accountable for achieving established fundraising goals.
The Director also serves as GSAK's strategic liaison with our external marketing firm, ensuring that marketing priorities, campaigns, communications, and organizational messaging support GSAK's fundraising, membership, community engagement, and overall strategic goals.
As part of our dynamic and passionate team, you will join a group of individuals committed to ensuring that girls across Alaska have the opportunities and support they need to thrive.

- Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): Recharge and relax with ample PTO to support a healthy work-life balance.
- Holidays: Enjoy 11 paid holidays throughout the year, plus a paid week off for a year-end office closure.
- Health Coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Financial Security: Long-term disability (LTD) and life insurance.
- Retirement Savings: A 403(b) retirement plan with employer match.
- Family-Friendly Work Environment
