Position Description: The Enterprise Resource and Management Directorate (ER) Inventory Management Specialist provides logistics and inventory management support to DC3 ER functions by maintaining accurate, auditable inventory records; reconciling Government-provided property lists; producing inventory accuracy reporting; supporting receiving/shipping; and assisting with readiness-focused facility and asset accountability processes. This position directly supports Logistics performance objectives by ensuring traceability of assets (serial number, condition, location, ownership), supporting audit readiness, and enabling timely availability of mission-critical tools and equipment for highly technical programs and projects. Location: Onsite - Linthicum Heights, MD Clearance: Active TS/SCI Responsibilities and/or Success Factors: Inventory control and audit readiness: - Maintain inventory records, material logs, stock-level documentation, and a running inbound/outbound ledger to support audits and readiness reviews. - Establish and maintain audit-ready documentation ensuring traceability between serial numbers, storage locations, condition codes, and ownership information. - Perform monthly reconciliation of Government-provided property lists against on-hand records; document and annotate discrepancies for Government adjudication. Receiving, shipping, and logistics documentation: - Generate receiving/shipping documentation; update Government systems as required; maintain transit logs, packaging requirements, tracking references, and proof-of-movement documentation. - Maintain lifecycle matrices to identify equipment nearing replacement windows and inform logistics planning. Inventory reporting and continuous improvement - Develop Inventory Accuracy Reports identifying discrepancies, trends, and recommended mitigations (when applicable); conduct quarterly discrepancy trend analysis by item type, facility, and handling process. - Provide process efficiency recommendations (storage layout improvements, barcode scanning enhancements, data validation steps) that improve accuracy and reduce handling errors. Material storage and accountability processes: - Support development and sustainment of logistics SOPs for intake, storage, security, and distribution; ensure SOPs include chain-of-custody steps, quality checks, and controlled access procedures. Customer support and stakeholder coordination: - Coordinate with internal directorates and external stakeholders (vendors, shipping/receiving, facility personnel) to satisfy mission needs and timelines. - Provide responsive customer service to supported users, ensuring transparent status updates and timely issue resolution. Minimum Qualifications Including Certificates: - TS/SCI clearance. - Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office suite to prepare reports, manage data, and develop materials for senior leadership. - Applied working knowledge of the Federal Supply System and associated automated/manual supply systems to ensure adherence to equipment serviceability standards. - Proven ability to build and sustain effective partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. - Leveraged strong organizational and time-management skills to solve complex problems under pressure, ensuring mission-critical tasks were completed with a high degree of accuracy. - Consistently provided a high level of customer service, resulting in positive and productive user interactions. Desired Qualifications: - Experience supporting GFP/property accountability and audit readiness in DoD environments. - Experience implementing barcode/RFID or automated inventory practices and developing SOPs and checklists. - Familiarity with FAR 52.245 Government Property concepts.
