CREATOR & UGC MANAGER
Maximus · Remote · Contract
WHO WE ARE
Maximus is a doctor-led men's health company. We offer subscription-based treatments across testosterone, GLP-1 weight loss, oxytocin, and peptides, and we do things differently from the rest of the category: we run our own research, publish it, and build everything around provable results instead of hype. Our creator program is up and running and producing winners. We're hiring a part-time Creator & UGC Manager to grow it and run it every week.
THE ROLE
This role owns the creators, not the creative. Our creative team supplies the briefs, hooks, and scripts; your job is to find the people who can deliver them, lock in the deal, and keep them producing. You'll do three things, in roughly this order of importance: find new talent, structure the contracts and the asks, and manage the roster week to week.
You're inheriting a working program with an active roster and a clear playbook. Your time goes into output: more good creators, cleaner deals, and ad-ready videos landing on schedule for our paid media team.
You'll report to the Creative Director and work closely with our paid media partners and medical/compliance reviewers.
YOU WILL
Find new talent
- Run a steady sourcing cadence across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, plus creator marketplaces (Trybe, SideShift, and similar): outbound outreach, inbound triage, and referrals from creators already in the program
- Vet creators for fit before anyone is briefed: on-camera credibility, prior paid-social work, audience quality, and willingness to work in a regulated health category
- Keep a bench of vetted, ready-to-brief creators so the pipeline never depends on who happens to be available this week
- Replace underperformers quickly and double down on creators whose videos win in paid
Structure contracts and asks
- Negotiate and close creator deals within our guardrails: per-video rates, deliverable counts, revision rounds, turnaround times, usage rights, and Meta whitelisting / partnership-ad permissions
- Issue contracts and keep terms consistent across the roster so the program stays predictable as it scales
- Turn each brief into a clear, specific ask for each creator: what to shoot, how many cuts, what the deadline is, and what "approved" means, so first submissions come back usable
- Own payments and rights tracking: who's been paid, what we're cleared to run, and for how long
Manage the roster
- Run the day-to-day of a large active roster: scheduling, deadlines, follow-ups, and the back-and-forth that keeps creators shipping on time
- Route every submission through our review process, send creators clear revision notes, and get approved videos filed and handed to paid media
- Keep the creator pipeline tracker current and share a short weekly status: creators added, videos in flight, videos shipped, what's blocked
- Feed performance learnings from paid media back into who we recruit, who we keep, and how we structure the next round of asks
- Target: 50+ ad-ready creator videos delivered per month to start, scaling from there
YOU ARE
- 8+ years running creator or UGC programs for a DTC brand, agency, or creator marketplace, with real volume behind you (brand-side preferred)
- A natural recruiter: you know where good creators are, how to reach them, and how to tell in one call whether they'll deliver
- Comfortable negotiating and closing deals: rates, rights, and deliverables, with a bias toward clean, repeatable terms over one-off exceptions
- Organized at scale: you can run dozens of creators and deadlines at once without things slipping
- A clear communicator: asks creators actually follow, feedback they can act on
- Fluent in what performs on Meta and TikTok, so your recruiting and your asks are tuned to paid results, not vanity metrics
- Comfortable in a regulated category where claims get reviewed (health, wellness, or similar experience is a plus)
- Self-directed; you can run a part-time schedule without someone checking in on you
WHY MAXIMUS
- A fast-growing brand in a category where real, evidence-based content stands out
- A creative-first team where creator content directly drives paid performance
- A working program and a clear playbook, so your time goes into growing it, not building it
- Flexible, remote, part-time, with room to grow the scope if it's working
DETAILS
- Type: Independent contractor, part-time
- Hours: ~[15–20] per week, flexible, with availability for a weekly sync
- Location: Remote, U.S. time zones preferred
- Compensation: $6-10k/month, bonus potential
DO NOT APPLY IF:
- You want to oversee rather than do. This role is in the DMs, the contracts, and the follow-ups every week.
- You've never sourced and closed creators yourself, end to end.
- You've only done B2B, or only done organic social with no paid performance lens.
BEFORE APPLYING:
- Send a short note that includes the size and output of creator programs you've run, and 3–5 UGC ads from creators you sourced and managed, with results if you have them.
- As part of its interviewing process, Maximus asks candidates to complete a ~20 minutes assessment to understand how they think. Candidates who complete the assessment as part of their initial application will be prioritized for review/interviews: https://www.ondemandassessment.com/o/JB-8QCZYN3VL/landing?u=1086295
