Kincellis is seeking a highly motivated Senior Warehouse Supervisor who will be a key contributor to a dynamic and collaborative Supply Chain team. The Senior Warehouse Supervisor at Kincellis will supervise daily warehouse and material handling activities supporting cell therapy development and GMP manufacturing. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this individual will coordinate receiving, storage, inventory control, material issuance, and shipping while maintaining accurate records and reliable material availability. The role provides hands-on leadership to warehouse associates and ensures assigned work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This role requires practical experience in GMP warehousing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to translate production priorities into daily work assignments. The Senior Warehouse Supervisor partners with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Planning to resolve operational issues and maintain compliant material flow. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform role-related duties other than those contained in this document. - Supervise daily receiving, put-away, picking, staging, issuance, returns, and shipping activities; assign work and adjust priorities to support manufacturing and laboratory schedules. - Verify receipt documentation, quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates, labeling, package integrity, and required temperature records; segregate discrepancies and escalate them promptly. - Maintain appropriate identification and segregation of quarantined, released, rejected, returned, and expired materials. Issue materials only when their status permits use under approved procedures and Quality authorization. - Ensure accurate and timely ERP or warehouse system transactions, including receipts, transfers, issues, returns, and approved adjustments; maintain lot traceability and good documentation practices. - Execute cycle counts and physical inventories, investigate discrepancies, and submit reconciliations and proposed adjustments for approval. Apply first-expiry-first-out practices where appropriate. - Coordinate material kits, replenishment, and transfers to production areas using approved cleaning, handling, and transfer procedures to prevent contamination and mix-ups. - Oversee handling of refrigerated, frozen, and cryogenic materials, as applicable. Verify storage conditions, respond to alarms under approved procedures, and promptly escalate excursions to Quality and the Warehouse Manager. - Coordinate time-sensitive shipments with approved carriers and internal stakeholders; verify packaging, shipment records, temperature monitoring, and chain of custody or chain of identity where applicable. - Maintain orderly, clean, and inspection-ready warehouse areas; reinforce safe lifting, equipment operation, PPE use, and cold-storage or cryogenic handling practices. - Verify that personnel are trained and qualified before performing assigned tasks; provide hands-on coaching and maintain training records with the Warehouse Manager. - Document and escalate deviations, damaged goods, shortages, and safety concerns; support investigations, corrective actions, SOP revisions, and change implementation. - Track daily workload, inventory accuracy, picking errors, and on-time material delivery; communicate shift handoffs, risks, and improvement opportunities. - Support internal, client, and regulatory audits by retrieving records, explaining assigned operations, and completing designated follow-up actions. Management Responsibilities - Direct warehouse associates and material handlers within the assigned area or shift; maintain daily staffing assignments, coverage, and task accountability. - Conduct performance reviews for direct reports, set development goals, and provide regular coaching and feedback. Participate in hiring and onboarding with the Warehouse Manager and Human Resources. - Monitor training, attendance, and work quality; approve time records and routine time-off requests within delegated authority. Address routine performance issues with the Warehouse Manager and Human Resources, and escalate significant staffing or employee concerns. - Promote a collaborative culture focused on safety, quality, reliable delivery, and continuous improvement. - Serve as the operational point of contact during assigned shifts and provide coverage for designated Warehouse Manager activities when delegated. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully. - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field preferred. - At least 6 years of relevant warehouse, inventory control, or logistics experience with a high school diploma; 4 years with a relevant associate’s degree; or 3 years with a relevant bachelor’s degree. All pathways require at least 3 years in a GMP biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated environment. - At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising warehouse personnel, including work assignment, training, and performance coaching. - Working knowledge of GMP material controls, inventory status segregation, lot traceability, expiration control, and good documentation practices. - Hands-on experience with ERP or warehouse management systems, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and Microsoft Office applications. - Experience handling temperature-sensitive materials and coordinating cold-chain shipments; cell therapy or cryogenic material experience preferred. - Ability to obtain and maintain required powered industrial truck qualifications and role-specific dangerous goods shipping training, where assigned. - Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to prioritize urgent requests without compromising safety or quality. - Ability to collaborate effectively with Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and Procurement in a growing CDMO environment. Material handling equipment or team assistance is used for heavier loads. - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus for labels, records, and computer screens. - The employee must be able to use required PPE and follow site safety procedures when handling materials or operating equipment. Travel Requirements - Occasional travel for training, other company sites, or logistics provider support may be required. Location - This is a site-based position in Durham, NC.
