Position Summary
Arcesium seeks a Manager / Senior Manager, Organization and Talent Development to join our global Human Capital team in New York.
You will partner with senior business and Human Capital leaders to help shape how the organization is structured, how talent is evaluated and developed, and how employees grow as the business evolves. You will work across a broad range of strategic people questions, from organization design and spans and layers to performance management, career architecture, promotion processes, and capability development.
This is a highly consultative role. You will be expected to understand complex business problems, bring structure to ambiguity, use data and organizational insights to develop recommendations, and translate those recommendations into practical people processes and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders on organizational and talent-related questions, bringing an enterprise perspective to how teams, roles, talent, and capabilities should evolve.
- Lead and support organization design and effectiveness work, including organizational structures, spans and layers, role clarity, decision rights, accountabilities, and operating models.
- Design, evolve and execute performance management and talent processes, including performance frameworks, promotion process, goal-setting, talent assessments, calibration, and related people processes.
- Develop and evolve career architecture and job/role frameworks, helping create greater clarity around roles, levels, career paths, and expectations.
- Identify critical capabilities required by the business and translate them into capability-building and upskilling strategies.
- Use organizational, workforce, talent, and performance data to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities and translate them into actionable recommendations.
- Develop practical frameworks, tools, and processes that can scale across geographies while allowing for appropriate local differences.
- Lead and contribute to global Human Capital initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness and talent outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influence decisions without formal authority.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Talent Management, Organization Development, Organization Effectiveness, Organization Design, HR Strategy & Consulting, or a related field.
- Experience working with senior business leaders on complex organization, talent, or workforce questions.
- Strong understanding of organization design and effectiveness, including structures, spans and layers, operating models, roles and responsibilities, decision rights, and organizational capabilities.
- Experience designing or evolving performance management, talent assessment, promotion, career, or capability-building processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn ambiguous business questions into structured analysis and practical recommendations.
- Ability to connect business strategy with organization structure, talent, performance, careers, and capabilities rather than treating these as separate disciplines.
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, particularly with senior leaders and leadership teams.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment where the problem is not always clearly defined.
- Ability to move between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, from developing a framework to making sure it works in practice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex ideas and communicate clearly with different audiences.
- Experience in technology, financial services, consulting, SaaS, or other complex, high-growth environments is preferred.
- Experience working across geographies and cultures is a plus.
- Graduate degree in business, HR, organizational psychology, or a related discipline is preferred.
The expected annual base salary for this position is $140,000 - $200,000. Our compensation package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, and 401k contribution matching.
The applicable annual base salary paid to a successful applicant will be determined based on multiple factors including without limitation the nature and extent of prior experience and educational background.
