BryceTech is seeking a Contracts Principal to provide senior-level expertise in government contracting, contract negotiation, administration, and compliance in support of U.S. Space Force mission requirements. This position is responsible for preparing, negotiating, accepting, and managing contracts and subcontracts while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, customer requirements, and contractual obligations. The Contracts Principal evaluates contract terms, cost estimates, performance requirements, and delivery schedules; advises management on contractual rights and obligations; and recommends policy and procedural improvements. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing complex government contracts, sound business judgment, and the ability to independently resolve contractual issues in a highly regulated environment. Responsibilities - Prepare, negotiate, review, accept, and administer government contracts, subcontracts, and related contractual instruments - Ensure contract acquisition and fulfillment comply with applicable laws and regulations, company policies, Government requirements, customer specifications, and master agreements - Analyze estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, along with performance requirements and delivery schedules, to assess contractual accuracy, completeness, feasibility, and risk - Review contractual documents, terms, and conditions to verify compliance with company policies, Government specifications, solicitation requirements, and applicable agreements - Advise management and program leadership on contractual rights and obligations, risk exposure, interpretation of terms and conditions, and potential business impacts - Interpret contract requirements and provide guidance on contract administration, performance, deliverables, modifications, and compliance matters - Coordinate with program management, finance, procurement, legal counsel, technical teams, and other stakeholders to resolve contractual issues and support successful program execution - Identify contractual risks, ambiguities, and inconsistencies and recommend mitigation strategies or corrective actions - Support the preparation and evaluation of proposals, pricing documentation, contract modifications, negotiation positions, and other acquisition-related materials - Monitor contract performance, deliverables, schedules, changes, and compliance obligations throughout the contract lifecycle - Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures affecting the immediate organization to improve contracting effectiveness, consistency, and compliance - Interpret and administer policies, processes, and procedures that affect assigned sections and subordinate work units - Develop and communicate contracting guidance, process improvements, and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders - Maintain accurate contract files, records, correspondence, and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable requirements - Independently manage complex contracting assignments, exercise sound judgment, and provide timely recommendations in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment - Active DoW Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI) - Bachelor’s degree or higher, meeting one of the following education and experience combinations: - Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with 10 or more years of relevant experience - Master’s degree (MA/MS) with 8 or more years of relevant experience - Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Juris Doctor (JD) with 2 or more years of relevant experience - Extensive experience in government contracting, contract negotiation, contract administration, subcontract management, or a closely related discipline - Experience preparing, negotiating, accepting, and managing government contracts and subcontracts to support proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications - Experience analyzing estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, as well as performance requirements and delivery schedules, to ensure accuracy and completeness - Experience reviewing contractual documents for adherence to company policies, Government specifications and requirements, and applicable master agreements - Demonstrated ability to advise management on contractual rights and obligations and interpret contract terms and conditions - Experience identifying contractual risks, evaluating proposed changes, resolving complex contract issues, and recommending appropriate courses of action - Experience recommending policy changes and establishing procedures that affect an immediate organization - Experience interpreting and administering policies, processes, and procedures that affect multiple sections or subordinate work units - Working knowledge of applicable Government contracting regulations, acquisition requirements, contract compliance, and contract lifecycle management - Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex contractual matters to management and cross-functional stakeholders - Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with program, finance, procurement, legal, and technical personnel Position is contingent upon contract award.
