The work The Senior SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining SAP operating environments across complex enterprise landscapes. This role establishes and enforces standards for system operations, ensuring compatibility between hardware, operating systems, middleware, and SAP application components. The administrator will support full lifecycle system maintenance activities, including upgrades, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and operational support across SAP S/4HANA environments. You will lead resolution efforts for software, operating system, and networking issues; oversee system backups and recovery procedures; and provide day‑to‑day technical support for mission‑critical applications. The senior administrator may also participate in planning and forecasting activities and will be responsible for guiding and mentoring junior team members. Key responsibilities: - Lead troubleshooting and resolution of software, operating system, and network‑related issues in SAP environments - Schedule, perform, and monitor system backups, ensuring reliable data recovery processes - Provide daily operational support for all SAP-related applications - Participate in work planning, including budgeting, staffing, and forecasting activities - Manage and mentor a team of junior Basis administrators and technical staff - Ensure alignment with SAP best practices, security standards, and federal compliance requirements Here’s what you need: - 5+ years of SAP Basis administration experience - Hands‑on experience performing S/4HANA release upgrades (e.g., S/4 2021 → S/4 2025) Eligibility Requirements - US Citizens only (no dual citizenship) - Eligible to obtain a minimum of a Secret Clearance - Must reside locally in St. Louis, MO or be willing to travel to St. Louis weekly #LI-Onsite As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
