We are looking for Production Technicians to join our Rocket Motor Systems manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform hands-on final assembly operations on solid rocket motors and their subassemblies, working in a fast-paced production environment where precision, safety, and teamwork are paramount. You do not need prior experience with solid rocket motors or energetic materials to be successful here — we will train you. What matters most is that you bring a strong safety mindset, a willingness to learn, the technical aptitude to master detailed procedures, and the ability to work collaboratively with your team. Core Responsibilities - Perform solid rocket motor final assembly operations including mandrel extraction, nozzle installation, and igniter assembly integration per detailed work instructions - Execute igniter subassembly build-up, including component preparation, epoxy application, and curing processes - Conduct motor marking, labeling, and serialization in accordance with configuration control requirements - Perform leak check and pressure testing of completed motor assemblies using calibrated test equipment - Complete pack-out and preparation of finished motors for storage or shipment, ensuring compliance with packaging and handling specifications - Maintain accurate and thorough records of all assembly operations, inspections, and test results in the production tracking system - Participate in daily production stand-ups, communicate status and blockers, and coordinate handoffs between shifts or stations Safety & Compliance - Solid propellant and other energetic materials are exceptionally dangerous if mishandled — adhere strictly to all safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and explosive safety requirements at all times with zero tolerance for deviation - Maintain housekeeping and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control standards in all work areas - Identify and escalate safety concerns, near-misses, and hazards immediately through established reporting channels - Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly and consistently - Support and participate in safety audits, process hazard analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking For We hire for mindset and aptitude. If you've built things with your hands — whether in a factory, a shop, the military, or your own garage — and you take pride in doing precise, careful work, we want to hear from you. Required - High school diploma or equivalent - Demonstrated safety-first mindset — you stop the line when something doesn't look right - Ability to follow detailed written and visual work instructions with precision and consistency - Moderate to high mechanical aptitude: comfortable working with hand tools, torque wrenches, fixtures, and small components - Strong attention to detail and quality — you catch your own mistakes before they move downstream - Team-oriented attitude with clear, direct communication skills - Coachable and self-aware — you seek feedback, absorb it, and apply it - Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods - Willingness to work in environments with energetic materials after completing required training and certification - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required) - Ability to obtain and maintain an ATF Explosives "Employee Possessor" license Preferred - Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other precision manufacturing environments - Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent aerospace quality management systems - Experience working with adhesives, sealants, epoxies, or potting compounds - Military service or experience in an environment with strict procedural discipline - Experience with calibrated measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, etc.) - Lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement experience Why Anduril - Mission-driven work — what you build matters for national security - A team culture that values safety, ownership, and getting better every day - Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits - Hands-on training and career growth pathways into senior technician, lead, and supervisory roles - The opportunity to build a production operation from the ground up alongside a tight-knit team US Hourly Range $25—$33 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
