We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., Raleigh, London, and Amsterdam. Plaid's Europe Sales team helps the most innovative companies in financial services build the experiences their end users come back to. We partner with the largest, most technically forward organisations in the UK and Europe, from scaled fintechs and neobanks to lenders, payments platforms, and forward-thinking financial institutions, to bring Plaid's platform into the core of their products. We don't sell payments alone. We sell the customer understanding that drives loyalty and intent, with payment initiation, data, verification, underwriting, and insight on one platform. Through this work, we help advance our mission of unlocking financial freedom for everyone. We're looking for an Enterprise Account Executive to join our Europe Sales team. You'll own a curated territory of named accounts with very high revenue potential and lead full-cycle, multi-product sales into them. You'll build executive relationships, identify and quantify Plaid's business impact across your accounts, and go deep and wide within each organisation to build the support needed to win. You'll also lead a cross-functional deal team spanning Sales Engineering, Account Management, Product, Risk, and Legal, and help define how Plaid sells to Enterprise across Europe. Responsibilities - Build and execute a named-account territory plan across the UK and Europe, prioritising a small number of high-value accounts each quarter - Open and develop executive-level relationships alongside product, engineering, risk and compliance stakeholders - Lead full-cycle enterprise sales from prospecting through technical evaluation, security and regulatory review, commercial negotiation and signature - Structure multi-product deals that land with a clear path to expansion across Plaid's platform - Partner with Sales Engineering on discovery, solution design and proof of concept - Maintain an accurately forecast pipeline and communicate deal status, risks and requirements clearly to leadership - Ensure a seamless handoff to Account Management with a documented expansion roadmap - Bring market, competitor and customer insight back to Product and help shape Plaid's enterprise go-to-market in Europe Qualifications - 7+ years of quota-carrying, full-cycle sales experience, with 3+ years focused on enterprise accounts - Track record of closing net-new deals of £150k+ ACV with multiple stakeholders and an executive sponsor - Experience selling a technical solution to a business buyer and building a value story at executive level - Experience navigating complex procurement including security, legal and regulatory review - Proven ability to build a named-account territory and generate your own pipeline - Consistent record of meeting or exceeding targets - Clear communicator with a collaborative, team-first mindset and comfort operating in a high-growth environment - A passion for fintech and a pulse on the market Nice to have - Experience in fintech, payments, open banking or API-first companies - Experience selling into regulated financial services buyers in the UK/EU - Experience expanding a single-product relationship into a multi-product platform partnership - Fluency in a second European language Our mission at Plaid is to unlock financial freedom for everyone. To support that mission, we seek to build a diverse team of driven individuals who care deeply about making the financial ecosystem more equitable. We recognize that strong qualifications can come from both prior work experiences and lived experiences. We encourage you to apply to a role even if your experience doesn't fully match the job description. We are always looking for team members that will bring something unique to Plaid!
