RESPEC, an internationally recognized engineering consulting company, seeks a Structural BIM (Building Information Modeling) Technician for the following locations: Cheyenne, WY, Denver, CO, Rapid City, SD, and Sioux Falls, SD. This is a full-time onsite office-based position. 
We are seeking a Structural BIM Technician to join our full-service engineering team! If you’re passionate about drafting and modeling complex structures, then take a look! What you’ll be doing: 
- Cutting-Edge Technology: Get ready to dive into the world of BIM software! You will work primarily in Revit and have the opportunity to leverage Autodesk Forma, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu sessions to enhance your workflows. These powerful platforms empower you to digitally prototype and document precise, clash-free designs that bring facility projects to life. 
- Impactful work: Your role will directly contribute to the success of construction projects. From modeling wood, steel, concrete, and masonry structures to producing plans, elevations, and details, your work will shape the future of our built environment. 
- Visualize and Coordinate: We believe in thinking beyond 2D blueprints. As a BIM Technician, you’ll visualize complex structures to ensure seamless coordination across disciplines. Your ability to recognize spatial conflicts and help optimize designs will be invaluable. 
- Library Management: Curate and maintain our BIM and CADD library, ensuring seamless access to essential resources and support files. 
Our ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with a team and diving into new challenges, and will have the following qualifications:   
- Minimum associate’s degree in engineering/architectural drafting and/or directly related degree from an accredited institution  
- Proficiency in BIM and CAD software (Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD) 
- Interest in emerging technologies 
- Strong visualization skills and attention to detail 
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in collaborative team settings 
- Ability to interpret written, verbal, and visual direction 
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.  
Additional preferred experience/skills: 
- Exposure to Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or other CAD/BIM software through education, internships, or previous work experience. 
- Basic understanding of structural systems, including foundations, steel, concrete, masonry, and wood framing. 
- Familiarity with construction documents or structural engineering concepts. 
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other commonly used project-management or document-management software
Additional information - Position Expectations 
The Entry-Level Structural BIM Technician will receive training and guidance in structural BIM production, Revit modeling, drafting standards, construction documentation, and project-specific procedures. The individual is expected to progressively develop the technical skills necessary to produce accurate structural models and drawings with increasing independence. 
Compensation: Salary is $27 per hour. depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
