Who Are We? XNRGY Climate Systems is a North American leader in sustainable HVAC solutions and advanced manufacturing of custom air treatment systems. We design and manufacture energy-efficient climate systems for applications including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial buildings, and other mission-critical environments. Position Overview Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Manager, CPQ Tools & Selection Software is a high-visibility leadership opportunity with significant autonomy to build and shape the software capabilities behind how XNRGY selects, configures, and delivers next-generation cooling solutions. Leading a small technical team at the intersection of engineering, software, and commercial operations, this role oversees the development, validation, and governance of selection tools that turn validated engineering data into commercial selections, ratings, and customer submittals. It also owns performance modeling and release governance, ensuring published performance is accurate, defensible, and aligned with applicable standards. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact in a rapidly scaling business, with the freedom to make decisions, solve problems, and define how selection tools evolve across chiller, CRAH, and fan coil wall products. An Overview of your Responsibilities! - CPQ & Tool Strategy: Own the roadmap, architecture, and release of CPQ and selection tools across chiller, CRAH, and fan coil wall product lines. - Performance Model Governance: Lead the development and governance of performance models, ensuring published selections are accurate, validated, and commercially defensible. - Data & Validation: Govern the performance data lifecycle from testing and modeling through validation, release, and ongoing maintenance. - Ratings & Certifications: Ensure selection tools and outputs meet applicable AHRI, ASHRAE, and AMCA rating and certification requirements. - Selection Architecture: Develop and maintain a common selection architecture across product families, including future coupled plant selection capabilities. - Software Release Governance: Establish software validation, regression testing, version control, and quote traceability to ensure reliable and reproducible selections. - Testing & Calibration: Partner with Testing & Labs and Engineering to plan calibration, testing, model validation, and performance improvement. - Automated Submittals: Lead the roadmap for automated submittals and customer-facing performance documentation, working with CAD, Document Control, Sales, and Applications. - Team & Program Leadership: Build, mentor, and coach the technical team while partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver selection capabilities aligned with product launches and business needs. What you’ll need, among other things! - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline. - 8+ years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or related product engineering, with significant experience in performance modeling, selection tools, or ratings. - 3+ years of experience managing a small technical team and managing Agile development, priorities, releases, and ongoing support. - Experience owning a commercial selection or CPQ tool through development, validation, release, and deployment. - Strong understanding of HVAC performance across both refrigeration and air-side systems, including thermodynamics, heat transfer, coils, psychrometrics, compressors, and fan arrays. - Working knowledge of relevant AHRI, ASHRAE, and AMCA rating and testing standards. - Hands-on experience with performance testing, model validation, test correlation, and measurement uncertainty. - Strong technical understanding of software architecture, databases, version control, and development workflows, with working knowledge of Git and SQL. - Strong judgment and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, partner across Engineering and Commercial teams, and challenge selections that fall outside validated performance limits. Why Choose XNRGY? At XNRGY Climate Systems, you’ll be part of a fast-growing organization helping transform the climate systems industry through sustainability, innovation, and advanced manufacturing. You’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop a growing Supplier Quality Engineering team, influence supplier performance and operational excellence, collaborate with talented cross-functional teams, and play an important role in supporting XNRGY’s continued growth.
