Constance Ephelia, our luxurious five-star resort nestled in the heart of the Seychelles, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our distinguished food and beverage team. In this pivotal role, you will curate and present an exceptional wine experience for our discerning guests, combining technical expertise with genuine hospitality and a collaborative spirit. You will be instrumental in elevating our guests' dining experiences through thoughtful wine selection, expert guidance, and an infectious enthusiasm for the world of wine. - Provide expert wine recommendations and conduct engaging wine tastings for guests, demonstrating exceptional knowledge of varietals, regions, and production processes - Develop, maintain, and curate an extensive and balanced wine list that reflects current trends, emerging wine regions, and the resort's culinary philosophy -  Execute flawless wine service according to international protocols, ensuring proper handling, storage, and presentation of all wines and beverages - Analyse guest preferences and dining choices to suggest thoughtful food and wine pairings that enhance the overall dining experience -  Collaborate closely with the culinary team to align wine selections with seasonal menus and special dining events -  Conduct educational wine seminars and training sessions for both guests and front-of-house staff, fostering a culture of wine appreciation across the resort - Manage wine inventory, monitor stock levels, and maintain detailed records using POS systems and MS Office applications -  Negotiate with wine suppliers and maintain strong professional relationships to secure quality selections at competitive prices -  Organise and execute wine-focused events, promotions, and special tastings that showcase our wine programme and drive guest engagement - Stay informed about international wine markets, emerging trends, and innovative developments within the wine industry -  Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, approachability, and genuine empathy, ensuring every guest interaction is memorable -  Work efficiently and flexibly across varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, maintaining composure in high-pressure environments **Required Qualifications: ** - Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of wine regions, grape varietals, and wine-making processes across the globe - Advanced certification from a recognised wine education body such as WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) or Court of Master Sommeliers - Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience as a Sommelier in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or equivalent high-end hospitality establishment - Exceptional palate with refined tasting abilities and the capacity to analyse wines with precision and clarity - Expert-level knowledge of food and wine pairing principles and techniques -  Strong understanding of spirits, cocktails, and other beverages to provide comprehensive beverage guidance -  Proficiency in wine list curation, inventory management, and cost control measures -  Excellent people skills with proven ability to communicate complex information in an accessible and engaging manner - Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, and developing junior staff members -  Proficiency in MS Office applications and POS (Point of Sale) systems -  Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays -  Fluency in French/ Russian and English, both written and spoken  WORK WITH CONSTANCE 🌿 Join a team where well-being, career development, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. - We believe in continuous learning and growth to help our teams achieve their full potential. - A strong family spirit is part of our identity, we support and care for one another. - We offer international career opportunities, allowing you to develop within a renowned luxury hospitality group. - Our passion for luxury hospitality is reflected in every detail of the guest experience. - We are committed to environmental and societal contributions, integrating sustainability into everything we do.🌿We want our team members to feel valued and supported, offering a work environment that encourages excellence, personal growth, and cultural diversity.
