Job Description BitGo is looking for a Mobile Engineer E2 with a strong background in React Native to join our team and help us build cross-platform mobile applications that enhance the BitGo experience for our customers. Responsibilities: - Design and build advanced applications for the iOS and Android platforms using React Native. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while identifying and resolving bottlenecks and bugs. - Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. - Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. - Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand and refine product requirements. - Provide mentorship to your peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practices Skills & Experience: We are looking for teammates who share and practice our values: open communication, transparency, taking ownership, and a high level of craftsmanship. Required: - 4+ years of proven experience in mobile application development using React Native. - Strong knowledge of JavaScript and related technologies, including ES6 and TypeScript. - Familiarity with Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java. - Solid understanding of React and React Native architecture, navigation, state management, native modules, and OTA releases. - Experience with secure storage, authentication, encryption, certificate and network security, biometrics, and secure handling of sensitive data. - Strong understanding of UI/UX standards and mobile design principles. - Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, along with a strong understanding of RESTful API design. - Strong understanding of unit and functional testing, with proven debugging skills. - Experience with Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, and related development practices. - Experience building observability and monitoring capabilities, including crash reporting, analytics, profiling, and memory, battery, and network optimization. - Familiarity with App Store and Google Play deployment, release management, crash monitoring, and production debugging. - Ability to support working hours aligned with EST/PST time zones, as required. Preferred: - Experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android) is a plus - Understanding of and experience working in the financial industry - Familiarity with any of the following: digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, accounting systems, etc Why Join BitGo?
