About the Team
The Treasury function manages regional cash liquidity, payments, and banking relationships across 16 APAC entities and 33+ bank accounts (JPM, HSBC, BOC, ICBC, CMB, DBS, IBK, ABA).
Job Summary
Flexport is hiring a Treasury Analyst to own execution of APAC's regular and emergency bill payments across host-to-host and manual bank channels for all APAC entities — and to support the Senior Treasury & Payment Analyst on bank reconciliation, cashflow forecasting, and bank guarantee administration. This is a foundational treasury role suited to someone early in their treasury or banking operations career who wants exposure to a fast-growing, multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process regular weekly and emergency/ad hoc bill payments for all APAC entities via host-to-host (~80% of volume) and manual bank portal execution (~20%).
- Review and verify bill payment details before setting payments, including country-specific tax checks (e.g., Thailand VAT/WHT verification for eWHT certificates), to ensure accuracy before submission.
- Compile and submit payment lists to the US team for approval, then execute approved payments in NetSuite and JPM (and other banking portals).
- Support monthly bank reconciliation across ~33 APAC bank accounts ahead of month-end close.
- Support cashflow monitoring and forecasting across the 16 entities the Treasury team covers.
- Support administration of Flexport APAC bank guarantees, including tracking renewals and coordinating documentation requests.
- Support new bank account opening for geo-expansion markets (upcoming China Ningbo, New Zealand) — preparing documentation, application forms, and KYC materials.
- Support to maintain and update banking documentation, including authorized signer lists, director/legal representative records, and bank callback lists.
- Partner with AR, AP, and Accounting to resolve discrepancies between bank data, NetSuite, and Core.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in payment processing, treasury, or banking operations.
- Comfortable working across multiple banking portals and high daily payment volumes with strong attention to detail and accuracy under deadline pressure.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken, to support regional stakeholders and local bank relationships.
- Organized and reliable with recurring, deadline-driven processes (daily/weekly payment cycles, month-end close).
