About the role

Patient Care
Veterinarian — Urgent Care Focus Salary: $115,000 – $135,000 per year + ProSal Sign-on Bonus: Available Location: 1391 Broadway, Bangor, ME 04401 You've done the overnights. The 3 AM GDV, the hit-by-car at shift change, the lobby that never empties. You're good at it — and you're ready for a schedule that doesn't cost you your weekends, your sleep, or your holidays. Broadway Veterinary Clinic is hiring a full-time or part-time veterinarian who wants to keep the pace and problem-solving of emergency medicine without the hours that come with it. Our extended weekday schedule means a steady stream of same-day sick visits, walk-ins, and urgent cases — triage, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry — with a solid wellness caseload when you want the change of pace. Why this works for ER doctors - No overnights. No on-call. No holidays. We're open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM, and two Saturdays per month 8 AM – 1PM. When you leave, you're off — and you know that in advance. - Your triage brain, in daylight. Urgent and same-day cases are a real part of the caseload, not an interruption to it. You'll still be the person who figures out the sick patient fast. - The team is already here. A 3-to-1 staff-to-doctor ratio, a 6 doctor team, and technicians, assistants, and CSRs who know how to move with you. You won't be working a busy day alone. - Flexible scheduling. Full or part-time, built around what you actually need. - Generous PTO — the kind you can use without leaving a hole in the schedule. - A soft landing. If your wellness medicine or elective surgery is rusty after years in the ER, you'll have experienced colleagues to lean on while you get your footing. Nobody expects you to arrive fluent in puppy visits. Requirements - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution - Active veterinary license in good standing in the State of Maine prior to start date - Commitment to collaborative teamwork and high-quality patient care - ER, urgent care, or general practice background — all welcome About Broadway Veterinary Clinic Broadway Veterinary Clinic has proudly served the Bangor, Maine community since 1980.
