We are looking for a Construction Administrator I to join our growing team. Purpose · Support Project and Operations Management as a construction and administrative specialist. · Support contract requirements and deliverables through all phases of public contract work with support of operations and project management. · Support prevailing wage, invoice, and financial tracking and reporting with support of operations and project management. · Manage constructability and maintenance planning and implementation tasks through all phases of project delivery to deliver those tasks on schedule and under budget. Core Working Relationships · RES regional project and opportunity teams inclusive of Operations, Sales, Regulatory/Project Management, Land, Finance and Legal. Activities and Accountabilities · Accounting/Financial Submittals: Accurately submit requisitions and invoices promptly, utilizing the standard RES systems and processes. Provide timely cost-to-completion estimates and forecasts to Project Manager in support of accurate forecasting and budgeting. · Tracking & Record Keeping: Work with the Project Management and Operations teams to translate weekly progress reports from the field (containing physical progress made, materials delivered, equipment delivered, etc.) into standard tracking documents and format. Continue to use this information and work with the Construction and Operations Manager to update historic data analyses. · Contract Submittals: Accurately review and track contract requirements. Develop submittal logs and work with project teams to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate and timely fashion. This position will lead submittal development with support from the project team. · Prevailing Wage and Hours Tracking: Prepare prevailing wage logs and reports for contracts with specific wage requirements. Track hours for T&M type contracts to ensure invoicing and reporting requirements are met in a timely fashion. Key Competencies · Ability to read and understand construction/restoration design plans, specifications, and contract documents. · Ability to learn and understand RES accounting and financial processes (i.e. Requisitions, Invoices, Vendor Setup, Forecasting). · Ability to learn, understand, and develop standard RES bidding processes (i.e. MCAs, RFPs, Contracting). · Able to learn to work collaboratively and communicate effectively as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to complete various tasks. · Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep various tasks and documents organized across multiple projects. · Strong Mathematical, Microsoft Office Suite, and Professional Writing skills. Education Desired · BS/BA in applied sciences, engineering, or similar field. Minimum · High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Experience Desired · 2-3 years of progressive experience in construction field at RES (or similar field) · Strong Mathematical and Professional Writing Skills · Construction estimating experience · Legal document review experience Minimum · 1-2 years of construction administration, project management or progressive experience in construction field at RES (or in a similar field) · Well-developed Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint skills Physical Demands / Equipment / Machinery Accountabilities Physical Demands · Able to pass a background check · Occasional Overnight travel · Walking on steep and uneven terrain · Valid Driver’s License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record · Company Vehicle Operation · UTV Operation Work Location / Work Environment / Environmental Conditions Skilled Knowledge Location · Chicago Please note that the “Day in the Life” section is not intended to be an exhaustive list of job duties, but rather a representative snapshot of typical responsibilities and work experiences at RES.
