Help Us Build Stronger Communities.
At Lincoln-Goldfinch Law (LGL), we believe access to justice starts with connection. We’re looking for a Community Engagement Specialist to join our Business Development Team and help us build meaningful relationships with communities, organizations, and partners across Central Texas and beyond. This is a highly visible, people-centered role for someone who loves being out in the community, building relationships, bringing people together, and creating opportunities that make a real difference. As a Community Engagement Specialist, you’ll work closely with our existing Community Engagement team member and firm leadership to identify and cultivate partnerships with schools, churches, local businesses, professional organizations, nonprofits, government entities, and community leaders. You’ll help LGL show up where our communities are, connect people with resources, and make immigration information more accessible. You’ll also have the opportunity to represent LGL at community events and support El Bus Sin Fronteras, our mobile outreach initiative that brings free legal education, safety planning, and resources directly to communities across Texas. If you’re outgoing, proactive, organized, and passionate about immigrant rights and social justice, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
Build Meaningful Community Partnerships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, schools, churches, businesses, professional associations, government entities, and other stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to expand LGL’s presence and impact within Central Texas and beyond.
- Build trust and serve as a welcoming, accessible point of contact for community partners.
Connect Communities With Resources
- Research and identify community events, workshops, conferences, and other opportunities aligned with LGL’s mission.
- Coordinate LGL’s participation in events and ensure we are prepared to make a meaningful impact.
- Represent LGL with professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm.
- Clearly communicate LGL’s mission, services, and available legal resources to diverse audiences.
- Assist with outreach and logistics for El Bus Sin Fronteras.
Support Business Development
- Collaborate with the Business Development Team to strengthen partnerships and advance firm goals.
- Help develop and execute community outreach strategies.
- Track relationships, opportunities, and engagement efforts and use data to help guide future strategies.
- Stay proactive in identifying new opportunities for LGL to connect with the community.
Support Special Projects
- Assist with special initiatives and projects at the direction of firm owner Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch.
- Jump in when urgent needs or new opportunities arise.
- Help turn ideas into organized, actionable projects from start to finish.
- This list is not exhaustive. Responsibilities may evolve as our organization and community outreach efforts continue to grow.
What We’re Looking For

- Strong commitment to immigrant rights, justice, accessibility, and community empowerment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

- Influencing Others - Builds support for ideas, projects, partnerships, and solutions through strong communication and relationships.
- Results-Oriented - Remains productive, follows through, and achieves established goals in a timely manner.
A Role That Gets You Out Into the Community
This isn't a role where you'll spend every day behind a desk. The Community Engagement Specialist will travel extensively throughout Central Texas, with the potential for statewide travel as our outreach efforts grow. You may spend one day meeting with a community organization, another attending an outreach event, and another coordinating logistics for an upcoming El Bus Sin Fronteras event. Our schedule is primarily during standard business hours, but occasional evenings and weekends will be required to support community events and special projects. The role may involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and traveling, as well as limited lifting and handling of outreach materials. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.
