About the role

Slingshot AI
Slingshot AI is the team behind Ash, the first AI designed for mental health. Our mission is to make support more accessible and help people change their lives in the ways they want.
We’re building a world-class team by empowering individuals with the autonomy, flexibility, and support they need to do their best work. We dream big, iterate fast, and care deeply. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
Our team spans machine learning, product, engineering, conversational design, clinical, growth, and operations, with offices in both New York City and London.
We're a well-funded Series A company, having raised $93M from Andreessen Horowitz, Radical Ventures, Forerunner Ventures, plus top-tier tech investors involved in ElevenLabs, Captions, Shopify, Plaid, Notion, Canva, Twitch, Airtable, and many others.
The role
We’re hiring a hands-on Product Manager to help bring Ash to more people through our partnerships. Your work will center on three things: integrating Ash into partners’ systems and workflows, meeting the requirements needed to operate, and measuring the outcomes we’re delivering.
You’ll spend time with partner organizations to understand deeply how they operate. Then you’ll work with engineering, design, and our clinical team to get Ash into our partners’ users’ hands, learn from how Ash operates in production with these users, and iterate. You’ll work closely with our psych research, product, and engineering team to iterate quickly to help us build a world class product.
We want someone who can turn a conversation into a prototype, a prototype into a live experiment, learn from qualitative and quantitative feedback from the experiments, and iterate quickly with it.
Your focus will be on B2B partnerships, partnering closely with our consumer product team and directly with our founders. You will have significant influence on our direction and responsibility for execution.
What you’ll do
- Get close to customers and users. Embed with partner teams at payers, provider groups and other partners, observe their workflows, and understand the problems we can solve for them and their populations with Ash
- Build, test, and iterate quickly. Find the fastest useful way to test an idea, whether that’s a prototype, a manual workflow, or a small product change. Get feedback early and turn it into the next version.
- Own partner integrations. Understand how Ash fits into each partner’s systems and workflows, define what information needs to move between them, and work with engineering to get the experience live.
- Turn compliance requirements into execution. Work with legal, privacy, security, and clinical colleagues to understand what each launch requires. Translate those requirements into product decisions, documentation, and operational processes, and drive them through to completion.
- Own projects through launch and adoption. Define success, align the team, resolve blockers, test the experience yourself, and follow through until people are using it. You will be responsible for everything needed to get operational in new markets.
- Own measurement and outcomes. Agree with partners and our research team on what success means before launch. Define the measures, data collection, and reporting needed to assess adoption, engagement, and health outcomes. Use the findings to improve the product and guide what we do next.
- Bring the right people in early. Work with engineering, design, clinical, research, privacy, and legal colleagues to make good decisions and keep things moving while you have accountability to the end product. This isn’t a project management role, it will involve making real decisions and driving outcomes.
About you
- You have startup experience. You have roughly 3–5 years of experience in areas like consulting, product, or business operations and you’ve helped build a product from the ground up at a startup. You must have product experience, but don’t have to have been a product manager before.
- You’ve built something from scratch and iterated on it. It could be a product, a business, a side project, a community, or something else entirely. We want to see what you made, how you got it into people’s hands, and how it changed as you learned.
- You move quickly. You’re good at shrinking an idea to something you can test now. You seek feedback, make decisions with incomplete information, and keep improving rather than waiting for perfect certainty.
- You’re comfortable working directly with customers. You listen carefully, build trust, and push back thoughtfully when a request won’t solve the underlying problem.
- You change your mind with data. You can structure a messy problem, work with both qualitative and quantitative data, you can explain what evidence does and doesn’t tell you, and you can change your mind based on what you learn.
- You’re comfortable getting into the details. You don’t need to be an expert in anything specific, but you can learn quickly, ask precise questions, and go deep on topics where the details matter, like compliance and integrations.
- You like doing the work yourself: interviewing users, sketching a flow, building a prototype, analyzing a funnel, or chasing down the detail holding up a launch.
- You use AI tools to build, test, and learn faster.
- You care deeply about people’s mental health and the opportunity in front of us. Making good support available to more people matters to you personally. You bring urgency to the work and care to the experience of the person using it.
This role includes travel between our New York and London offices approximately once every one to two months.
