Our Heavy Industries Group is looking to add an experienced Electrical Superintendent to their team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily electrical construction operations, providing direction to foremen, electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors across industrial jobsites.
- Supervise installation of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), conduit, cable trays, power distribution, and industrial equipment.
- Coordinate workforce needs, crew assignments, and labor resources to maintain productivity and meet project milestones.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company safety standards.
- Partner with Project Managers and General Superintendents to develop work plans, manage schedules, and ensure electrical activities align with overall construction progress.
- Collaborate with mechanical, structural, civil, instrumentation, and other trades to coordinate installations and resolve field conflicts.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with NEC requirements, engineering drawings, project specifications, and applicable industry standards.
- Plan and coordinate electrical materials, specialized equipment, tools, and deliveries to prevent delays and maintain jobsite efficiency.
- Oversee electrical inspections, equipment testing, system energization, and commissioning activities in coordination with qualified personnel and project stakeholders.
- Monitor labor productivity, material usage, overtime, and field performance to support project budgets and profitability.
- Identify and resolve constructability challenges, design discrepancies, and field issues while minimizing impacts to schedule and cost.
- Mentor electrical foremen and field personnel, build strong crews, and support the development of future field leaders.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of related experience with large scale industrial construction project operations required.
- Proficient with Outlook, Excel and Word is a plus.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and the project schedule
- Strong leadership and management skills
- OSHA 30-hour Card, preferred.
