Subtitling QC Technician

The Subtitling QC Technician team is responsible for preparing work materials for translators, running technical checks on translated subtitle files, exporting and delivering files according to the customer delivery specification. Responsibilities: - Proficient in various competencies relevant to timed text translation services. - Time-stamping and spotting, preparing the Source Master Template with timing information and applying it to the texted transcript. - Perform non-linguistic quality checks on the translated subtitle files. - Correct non-linguistic errors found during the quality check e.g. positioning, synchronization, reading speed, etc. - Transcode the translated master file to the delivery specifications. - Track and update production tasks in proper systems. - Log and report issues found to facilitate continuous improvement in the production chain. - Work closely with Project Management team to ensure that production tasks are completed. - Perform duties in a time-sensitive environment meeting daily delivery deadlines - Generally work independently within established procedures associated with timed text disciplines - Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including, suggesting improvements to workflow and testing new solutions. - Adhere to full-time schedule and occasionally work overtime when needed. - Adhere to all company policies and procedures. - Perform other related duties as assigned by her/his manager.
