About the Role As a Senior Associate on our Insolvency & Fiduciary Services team, you’ll manage complex corporate wind-downs, ABCs, liquidations, and distressed sale processes from execution through close. The role offers direct exposure to clients, lenders, legal counsel, and other stakeholders, with a focus on preserving asset value, maximizing recoveries, and mitigating risk. You’ll take ownership of key deliverables, coordinate with internal teams and third-party providers, and help drive engagements forward. Location: Boston, MA Workplace Model: At the time of this posting, G2 operates in a hybrid model with four days required in the office. These requirements may be adjusted based on the needs of the business. What You'll Do · Lead day-to-day execution across multiple engagements: set timelines, identify risks early, and drive issues to resolution with minimal oversight · Navigate complex, evolving distressed situations with sound judgment, making decisions independently and escalating when needed · Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and third parties, including lenders, legal counsel, vendors, and potential acquirers · Support fiduciary engagements, including assignments for the benefit of creditors (“ABCs”), across the full lifecycle, from securing and marshaling assets through creditor communications, claims review, and distributions · Lead accelerated and distressed sell-side processes, including market mapping, teaser preparation, data room management, buyer outreach, and NDA processes · Build and interpret 13-week cash flow forecasts, applying a strong understanding of cash accounting, liquidity management, and cash waterfalls · Own and pressure-test financial models and operating plans to support decision-making · Prepare and oversee client-ready deliverables, including lender and stakeholder updates, presentations, and financial reports · Synthesize client and stakeholder discussions into clear takeaways and next steps for senior team members · Direct external professionals and vendors, and mentor junior team members through coaching, feedback, and review of their work What We Look For · 5+ years of experience in restructuring, consulting, accounting, private credit, investment banking, or a related field · Turnaround, restructuring, or insolvency experience strongly preferred; experience with insolvency proceedings is a plus · Hands-on experience with 13-week cash flow forecasting and distressed or accelerated M&A processes · Experience directing and developing junior team members and third-party providers · Proven success in client-facing roles, with the ability to build trusted relationships and align stakeholders throughout an engagement · Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with a track record of anticipating issues and developing practical solutions · Exceptional written and verbal communication, including delivering difficult messages with professionalism and composure · Ability to perform under pressure and deliver high-quality work in time-sensitive, high-stakes situations · Flexibility to move between qualitative, quantitative, strategic, and administrative work · Intellectual curiosity about how and why things work · Strong accountability and integrity, including owning mistakes and doing the right thing even when it goes unnoticed · Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint What we offer · Catered lunch 4 days a week · Generous performance bonus program · Comprehensive healthcare · Unlimited vacation · 401K match · Professional development opportunities · Quarterly peer-recognition awards · Team events & outings · Branded swag · Referral bonus What we value While our team members come from a wide range of backgrounds, we are united by shared core principles. G2 rewards employees with a quarterly performance bonus that allows one in this role to earn up to a total compensation of $210,000, including an annual base salary of $120,000. In addition, all employees are encouraged to contribute to business development and are eligible for a sourcing bonus tied to the revenue for a given transaction.
