About the role

Financial Modeling
At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock and inspire performance for life. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives. WHOOP is hiring a Senior Associate to help shape the company’s highest priority strategic decisions and long term direction. As a member of the Corporate Strategy team, you will work across Product, Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other functions to evaluate new opportunities, develop strategic recommendations, and help leadership make better decisions about where and how WHOOP invests. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical foundation in investment banking, investing, consulting, or a similar environment who is looking to transition into a high growth technology company. You will combine rigorous analysis and financial modeling with clear, executive ready storytelling, while developing a deep understanding of WHOOP’s business, members, and market. RESPONSIBILITIES - Support high priority strategic initiatives across growth, product, healthcare, business model, geographic expansion, partnerships, and other areas critical to WHOOP’s long term strategy. - Build financial models and business cases to evaluate new opportunities, quantify potential impact, assess tradeoffs, and inform investment decisions. - Conduct market, competitive, and company analysis to develop fact based perspectives on where WHOOP should compete and how we can win. - Translate complex analyses into clear recommendations and compelling executive level presentations that communicate the answer, rationale, implications, and required decisions. - Help drive WHOOP’s strategic planning processes, including evaluating company priorities, supporting long range planning, and tracking progress against key strategic objectives. - Structure ambiguous problems, identify the most important questions, and independently drive analysis from initial hypothesis through recommendation. - Manage multiple workstreams and shifting priorities while maintaining a high bar for analytical accuracy, communication, and attention to detail. - Build strong relationships across the company and influence decisions through thoughtful analysis and collaboration. The Corporate Strategy team often helps define the direction and enables functional teams to execute, rather than owning execution directly. QUALIFICATIONS - We are looking for a business athlete - someone who is intellectually curious, thrives on solving complex problems, can operate across a wide variety of situations, and approaches their work with humility and honesty. - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. - 2-3+ years of professional experience, ideally in investment banking, private equity or growth investing, management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic finance, or a similarly analytical environment. - Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to build clear, flexible models from the ground up and translate analysis into business implications. - Strong presentation and storytelling skills, including the ability to distill complex topics into concise, persuasive materials for senior leaders. - Excellent problem solving skills and comfort bringing structure to ambiguous, open ended questions. - Strong business judgment and intellectual curiosity, with an ability to move between detailed analysis and broader strategic thinking. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions, build relationships, incorporate different perspectives, and influence without formal authority. - Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver high quality work in a fast paced, evolving environment. - Team first mindset with low ego, strong ownership, and willingness to contribute wherever needed. - Experience with or strong interest in technology and consumer businesses. - Experience in health technology, digital health, wearables, healthcare, or related sectors is a plus. This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
