About the role
HVACProject Management
Technical Engineering Support (TES) is an engineering services company with over 30 years of experience, specializing in test coordination and industrial commissioning. TES also supports its clients in engineering studies and the assembly coordination of industrial equipment.
As part of a flagship project to renew the UK’s nuclear fleet, an EPR (next-generation nuclear power plant) is currently under construction at Hinkley Point. The project aims to secure the UK’s low-carbon electricity supply through two EPR reactors, while addressing the challenges of the energy transition and industrial independence. Our client is responsible for managing the construction projects for these new nuclear units.
The role involves overseeing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC installation activities—a context in which quality, compliance, and coordination are essential to ensuring the project's safety and performance. TES provides support in managing the planning and execution of these mechanical, electrical, and HVAC installations.
The purpose of this assignment is to support the project manager in the preparation and execution of piping assembly for the pumping station.
The role focuses on the following key areas:

- Organization and consolidated overview: Establishing a management structure to provide a comprehensive view of performance and activity progress.
- Alignment with QCD objectives: Defining industrial Quality-Cost-Delivery (QCD) objectives for the project—or a specific scope—in collaboration with the client and stakeholders, and ensuring these targets are met.
- Coordination and scheduling: Planning, managing, and coordinating activities among all stakeholders, based on key milestones in the Level 4 (N4) schedule.
- Anticipation and preparation: Proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and potential challenges for upcoming activities, while accounting for schedule constraints.
- Consultation and decision-making: Facilitating dialogue among stakeholders to secure positions and determine the best course of action.
- Continuous improvement: Promoting initiatives aimed at optimizing operational efficiency.
PROJECT CONTROL
- Tools and indicators: Defining and deploying project management tools and tracking indicators to create an operational dashboard.
- Reporting and governance: Preparing reports and performance dashboards for steering committees and governance bodies.
- Integrated overview: Presenting an objective, consolidated analysis of activity progress based on established indicators.
- Progress monitoring: Providing a clear, up-to-date view of work progress.
The duration of the mission will be 18 to 24 months.
