Experienced Veterinary Nurse (Full-Time) | Greencross Vets Wyoming | Central Coast, NSW Looking for a clinic with deep community roots, a genuinely supportive team, and the opportunity to help shape its future? Greencross Vets Wyoming is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team full-time. We're looking for someone with at least 2 years of clinical veterinary nursing experience who is passionate about patient care, enjoys being part of a busy, collaborative team, and is excited by the opportunity to bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to a well-established clinic. A Clinic That's Been Part of the Community for Over 40 Years Greencross Wyoming has been caring for the pets of the Central Coast community for more than 40 years. The clinic relocated to its current purpose-built location approximately 20 years ago and became part of the Greencross network in 2007. Despite our growth, we've maintained the same community-focused approach and strong relationships that have made us a trusted name in veterinary care for decades. In fact, the clinic's original owner is still part of the team today, and even their son now works with us as a veterinarian. We also have a wonderfully diverse veterinary team, including veterinarians with international experience and special interests that help create a rich and collaborative learning environment. We're fortunate to have an incredibly loyal client base and are typically booked 1.5-2 weeks in advance, reflecting the trust our community places in our team. Our Practice Manager has been leading the Wyoming clinic for over 4.5 years and also manages our nearby Wyong clinic, providing strong and experienced leadership across both sites. One of the things we're most proud of at Greencross Wyoming is the stability and experience within our team. Many of our staff have been with us for years, creating a supportive environment where knowledge is shared, mentorship is valued, and genuine relationships are built. Our team boasts an incredible depth of experience, including a Head Nurse with 12 years' service, long-standing nursing and reception team members with 10-15 years at the clinic, two Veterinary Nurses, and a Veterinary Nurse Intern. Their longevity is a true reflection of the positive culture and supportive environment we've built at Wyoming. About the Clinic Our spacious hospital features: - Four consultation rooms - A large surgical theatre - Capacity to perform two surgeries simultaneously - Dedicated treatment and hospital areas - Large outdoor staff area with BBQ facilities - Modern equipment supporting a wide range of proceduresWe're proud of the variety of cases we see. From dogs and cats through to reptiles, birds, and other exotic pets, we rarely turn cases away. One of our veterinarians has a particular passion for reptiles, meaning you'll have opportunities to work with snakes, lizards, and other unique patients alongside a broad small animal caseload. The clinic also manages pet boarding services, creating additional variety within the role. About the Role As an experienced Veterinary Nurse, you'll be involved in all aspects of nursing and patient care. Your responsibilities will include: - Undertaking medical and surgical nursing duties - Surgical preparation and theatre assistance - Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recovery - Hospital patient care and treatment administration - Assisting with pathology and diagnostics - Supporting veterinarians during consultations and procedures - Caring for a diverse range of species, including birds and reptiles - Providing exceptional client communication and education - Supporting pet boarding services - Maintaining clinic hygiene and infection control standards - Assisting with reception duties when requiredPlease note this role will involve participation in a rotating weekend roster to support our boarding patients. This may include: - Saturday shifts (9:00am-12:00pm) - Occasional split shifts on SundaysAbout You We're looking for someone who: - Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) - Has a minimum of 2 years of clinical veterinary nursing experience - Is confident across general nursing duties - Has strong communication and customer service skills - Brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic - Enjoys working within a collaborative team environment - Is keen to contribute ideas and support continuous improvement - Enjoys working with a variety of species and case typesMost importantly, you're someone who genuinely enjoys veterinary nursing and wants to be part of a team where people support each other and take pride in the care they provide.
