Position Summary:
An Estimator/Program Coordinator, is responsible for deciding the projected time frame needed to complete a quote and additional factors like labor needs, materials, budgets and potential risks. Their duties include communicating with personnel and contractual professionals or vendors, using computer software to weigh production risks or compile reports and making presentations to project leaders outlining their suggestions for upcoming projects.

Essential Duties in Order of Priority

- Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints, bid instructions, contract language, purchase orders and quality clauses to gain a thorough understanding of the RFQ Daily
- Determine what factors of production will influence the cost of a service Daily
- Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service Daily
- Create labor estimates Daily
- Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors Daily
- Manage bids from vendors Daily
- Using bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis Daily
- Compile and record actual costs Daily
- Present prepared estimates to management Daily
- Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate As Needed
Qualifications: (minimum required to perform and be successful in this position)
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, accounting, statistics or related field or relevant work experience equivalence
- Experience:Three years in the tube and duct industry. One-year experience estimating costs in the Aerospace industry
- Experience/knowledge of equipment, machines, tools, etc:Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, model-based data i.e. Catia platform
Prior CAD experience a plus
Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large LTA quotes
- Communication and Language skills:Must be able to communicate and interact with employees at all levels of the organization both verbally and written. Must be fluent in English
- Mathematical skills:Proficiency in mathematics, statistics and data analysis.
- Computer Skills:Expertise with analytic tools, such as Excel spreadsheets, Pivot tables. Working knowledge of other MS Office products such as Word, PowerPoint etc.
