Your New Role
- Work as a Lead Electrician in Grand Prairie, Texas, supporting high-end custom residential electrical projects
- Lead day-to-day electrical work on the jobsite while supervising apprentices and supporting electricians
- Review electrical blueprints, architectural plans, wiring schematics, lighting control specifications, and project requirements
- Plan daily workflow, delegate tasks, and help keep projects on schedule and within labor expectations
- Coordinate rough-in, trim-out, service installation, and project timing with general contractors and other trades
- Perform and oversee rough-ins, top-outs, panel wiring, service installations, high-end fixture installations, lighting controls, and trim work
- Work with 200A to 400A+ residential electrical services and service upgrades
- Install architectural fixtures, concealed LED channels, landscape lighting, standby generators, dedicated circuits, and EV charging infrastructure
- Wire and work with smart home and lighting control systems, including Lutron HomeWorks, Control4, and Crestron
- Troubleshoot complex residential circuits, electrical equipment, and modern smart home systems
- Plan modifications and non-destructive electrical retrofits in finished spaces
- Monitor jobsite inventory, anticipate upcoming material needs, and submit accurate material orders
- Conduct quality checks and pre-inspection walkthroughs for rough-in, service, and final inspections
- Ensure electrical installations meet National Electrical Code (NEC), local code, project specifications, and company standards
- Train apprentices and helpers on installation methods, box placement, wire routing, panel makeup, proper tool use, and electrical safety
- Inspect work completed by apprentices and helpers before enclosure or energization
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
- Communicate professionally with builders, general contractors, project managers, homeowners, and other project partner
